At the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2015 in Zhukovsky, the KRET holding demonstrated a jamming station for radio fuses artillery ammunition 1L262E "Mercury-BM".
SPR-2M "Rtut-BM" - modern modernization of the jamming station of radio fuses of ammunition SPR-2 with the use of new equipment. The reliability of the system has been increased, as well as the functionality has been expanded. Added the function of suppressing radio communication lines at VHF frequencies.
Fighting vehicle "Mercury-BM" is a means electronic warfare and is designed to protect manpower and equipment from artillery ammunition fire mass use equipped with radio fuses, by interfering with them in order to prematurely detonate at a safe height or block them (transfer to shock action).
SPR-2M "Mercury-BM" is used to cover the units of the first echelon, command posts, starting positions launchers, areas of concentration of troops and military equipment in the areas of crossings, as well as covering mobile objects.

When they talk about updating weapons and military equipment, they almost primarily mean weapons of war this kind of troops. Electronic warfare units - this is where innovation comes first. Suppression of radio and electronic means of command, communications and reconnaissance, protection of their systems from the same impact from the enemy - all this requires more than just modern equipment, but also the most reliable, capable of working in combat conditions. Open up and destroy The author of these lines in the course of the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus had to deal with the results of the work of our electronic warfare units more than once. Suppression of activity in the radio networks of militants, pinpoint radio interceptions, blocking the signals of radio fuses of explosive devices - all this was part of the task of specialists of this branch of the military. It was by the intercepted signal of a satellite phone in April 1996 that the leader of the militants, Dzhokhar Dudayev, who was hiding from the federal troops in mountainous regions, was detected. Chechnya. A targeted airstrike was instantly launched at the set coordinates. As a result, that contact was the last one in my life for the Ichkerian leader ... Not so long ago, the United Instrument-Making Corporation, as part of a large-scale re-equipment program for the Russian armed forces, completed the first stage of deliveries of the Borisoglebsk-2 multifunctional electronic warfare complex. It is designed to equip tactical units: electronic warfare companies that are part of the staff of motorized rifle brigades. The complex can be used for radio reconnaissance, suppression of HF and VHF communication lines, and can be used not only for ground, but also for aviation communication sources. cellular communication, blocks radio navigation systems, works in wide range radio frequencies. It independently and automatically scans impressive territories, revealing both entire radio networks and single sources of communication. The number of tasks simultaneously solved by "Borisoglebsk" exceeds three dozen! The powerful tracked base of MTLB transporters, on which the stations of this complex are mounted, the armored corps allow Borisoglebsk to work in areas as close as possible to the front line, not to be afraid of either off-road or getting under fire. The deployment time of the stations after the march does not exceed 15 minutes. The United Instrument-Making Corporation emphasizes that the Borisoglebsk-2 complex has implemented the latest technical solutions. The stake was made on automation: thanks to it, in particular, it was possible to more than double the range of reconnoitered and suppressed frequencies. chief designer electronic warfare equipment of the United Instrument-Making Corporation Mikhail Artemov. - This allows, for example, to identify the most important objects radio electronic means enemy and focus efforts on them. I will say that my tactical and technical characteristics Borisoglebsk-2 does not just match the best foreign counterparts, but also significantly surpasses them in a number of parameters. Today, our complex is capable of suppressing all modern means radio communications of the world ". Invisible "Mercury" The Rtut-BM electronic warfare complex is not so versatile, but its importance on the battlefield can hardly be overestimated. The system is tailored for solving a specific task: to disable radio detonators of ammunition and explosive devices, activated remotely. In fact, the complex acts as an element of protection for armored vehicles, as well as shelters and engineering structures. It disarms artillery shells even before they touch the target. Follow the operation of "Mercury" in the mode combat use unrealistic. This is beyond the control of the human senses. Suffice it to say that the time for determining the frequency at which the radio detonator of a flying projectile operates does not exceed microseconds, and the formation of a response signal is milliseconds. At the same time, "Mercury" is capable of overcoming even the protected control system of an ammunition flying towards the target, giving signals to detonate it. It looks fantastic, but this is a fact: for the operation of the complex, human participation is practically not required or is minimized. The stations automatically scan the terrain, working both in the "standing" mode and in motion. "Mercury" can also be used as a reconnaissance agent, revealing the enemy's radio frequencies without giving out its scanners. A feature of "Mercury" is the ability to detonate ammunition with salvo or rapid fire, to destroy shells of MLRS complexes. According to experts, one "Rtut-BM" complex is capable of covering the area where troops are located with total area up to fifty hectares. The complex can also be used to jam the frequencies at which the enemy conducts radio communications: the number of suppressed lines reaches six. The system, like the Borisoglebsk, is mounted on a light armored MTLB tracked chassis, thanks to which any roads and their absence are subject to it. The combat crew is two people, and the deployment time of the complex does not exceed ten minutes. In real time Over the past three years, domestic manufacturers have supplied 22 Rtut-BM complexes to the troops, and by the end of this year, the armed forces will be replenished with another 21 complexes. The number of Borisoglebsk-2 systems delivered to the Russian army during 2014–2015, exceeds ten. As the deputy notes general director"United Instrument-Making Corporation" Lieutenant-General of the Reserve Sergei Skokov, a full-fledged update of equipment in the EW troops is taking place for the first time in 20-25 years. Moreover, according to Sergei Ivanovich, the geography of the current renovation is quite wide: "from Blagoveshchensk to Kaliningrad." military units in the form of exhibits. So, in the course of the recent large-scale strategic command and control command "Center-2015", about 150 units of military and special equipment electronic warfare, as well various complexes Electronic warfare of air and ground-based... According to the press service of the Central Military District, about half of the military and special EW equipment involved was newest designs, entered the troops in 2014-2015. "The widespread use of promising models of electronic warfare technology allowed to solve the tasks of conditional cover of groupings of troops during marches from air radar reconnaissance, aimed strikes of aviation and radio-controlled mine explosive devices of the simulated enemy," the headquarters emphasized Central Military District.By the way, at the Center-2015 exercise, an automated command post electronic warfare brigades. New forms and methods of electronic warfare were tested, such as electronic strike, electronic information blocking of areas of the terrain. To protect against radio-controlled landmines, operators mobile complexes Radio suppression conducted a continuous scan of the routes of the advance of military columns. Today, the army prepares specialists for work on the new equipment for itself. Thus, the Interspecies Center for Training and Combat Use in Tambov last year graduated more than a thousand specialists to work on four dozen types of electronic warfare and complex technical control... One of the main features of this release was training just for the operation of new electronic warfare systems - "Rtut-BM", "Borisoglebsk-2" and others. Another element of training was the "Electronic Frontier" field training competition held in the EW troops. Since last year, the means of the Borisoglebsk-2 complex have been involved in its stages.

In November last year, the Concern "Radioelectronic Technologies" (KRET) reported on the fulfillment of the state defense order for electronic warfare machines (EW) 1L262 "Rtut-BM". Until the end of autumn, the concern built and handed over to the military 10 vehicles of a new model, which were soon distributed between electronic warfare units armed forces. A few months later, in May 2014, in Tambov region the exercises of the electronic warfare troops were held, in which, apparently, the technique of the new model was used for the first time. In addition, during these exercises, one of the Rtut-BM machines first appeared outside the official photo and video materials of the manufacturer.

On May 18, the NTV channel in the program “Today. Final edition "showed a reportage about the exercises of the electronic warfare troops, which demonstrated various samples of equipment supplied in last years... Among other machines, an electronic warfare machine "Rtut-BM" first came into the frame. Newest car, leaving behind a cloud of dust, several times effectively drove past the camera. Such a demonstration was the first time that "Mercury-BM" got into the lens of journalists and was shown to the general public outside of official advertising materials. It should be noted that for some reason this report went almost unnoticed in May. About the first fact of the demonstration new technology they remembered on television only at the end of July.

From last year's report by KRET it follows that the number of Rtut-BM vehicles in the Russian armed forces is still small. It is known about the transfer of the first batch of ten cars. In addition, another prototype vehicle could have been transferred to the troops a year earlier, but there is no confirmation of this. In the future, the serial production of new equipment will continue. Every year, the electronic warfare troops will receive several new vehicles. Probably, the production rate will not exceed 10-12 cars per year.

Complex 1L262 "Mercury-BM" (alternative designation SPR-2M) is self-propelled system electronic warfare on the tracked chassis MT-LBu. The main purpose radio electronic equipment, installed on a tracked vehicle, is the counteraction guided weapons enemy, as well as ammunition equipped with radio fuses. "Rtut-BM" is a further development of the 1L29 "Rtut-B" complex, created in the eighties. The development of both machines of the family was carried out by VNII "Gradient". According to available data, serial production of 1L262 machines is carried out by several enterprises: the base MT-LBu chassis is supplied by the Muromteplovoz plant (Murom), radio electronic equipment is manufactured at NPO Kvant (Veliky Novgorod), and the final assembly is carried out by Kazan optical mechanical plant.

The main task of the 1L262 machines is to protect troops from enemy artillery fire using shells equipped with radio fuses. During operation, the equipment of the electronic warfare machine detects enemy ammunition, determines the carrier frequency of its radio fuse, and then puts a jam of the corresponding frequency and high power. As a result of this effect, the radio detonator of an enemy projectile either detonates the ammunition at a relatively safe height, or it turns off and the projectile will be detonated using a contact detonator. In both cases, the threats to the covered troops are seriously reduced.

The electronics of the Rtut-BM complex operates in an automatic mode and is capable of performing all the necessary operations in an automatic mode. Reportedly, it takes no more than a few fractions of a second to interfere with a machine. The frequency of the radio fuse is determined with an accuracy of several hundred hertz. Determining the carrier frequency of a radio fuse takes no more than a few tens of microseconds. The interference is emitted intermittently for several milliseconds, which makes it possible to create an almost continuous signal that ensures the proper effect on the radio fuse.

At the same time, the 1L262 complex is capable of suppressing up to six radio channels with a probability of neutralizing a radio fuse up to 0.8. This ensures the possibility of continuous operation for six hours. The deployment of the complex takes no more than 10 minutes. During operation, an electronic warfare machine "Rtut-BM" can protect troops on an area of 20 to 50 hectares.

The equipment of the Rtut-BM complex is installed on the MT-LBu tracked chassis. Most of radio-electronic equipment is located inside the armored body. Outside it is a telescopic mast with a set of antennas. Thanks to the use of new equipment, built on a modern element base, it was possible to halve the crew of the vehicle in comparison with the previous “Rtut-B” vehicle. The REB 1L262 car is serviced by two people (driver and system operator).

According to the Concern "Radioelectronic Technologies", the need of the Russian armed forces for the complexes "Rtut-BM" is estimated at no less than 100 vehicles. In addition, the complex has good potential in the international arms and military equipment market. On this moment in the electronic warfare troops there are at least ten 1L262 vehicles, as well as a number of more old technology for a similar purpose, model 1L29 "Mercury-B". In the foreseeable future, contracts should be signed for the supply of new Rtut-BM machines.

Tank destroyer "Javelin"

In the West, they have succeeded in creating high-precision strike systems. Indeed, the winged "Tomahawks", launched, for example, from warships somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea or Indian Ocean flying thousands of kilometers, find their targets in Afghanistan, the Balkans, Iraq and hit the target with an accuracy of a meter. Throughout the flight, they are guided by the "smart" electronics of the guidance head, which keeps constant communication with AWACS long-range radar patrol aircraft and satellite constellations. Such a rocket cannot miss. And her blow is crushing for the enemy.

Once upon a time, infantry on the battlefield suffered heavy losses from being hit by shrapnel shells. Then the infantry began to actively maneuver, took cover behind the armor, and the effectiveness of the shrapnel dropped sharply. But now there is a reincarnation of old ammunition.

In shells stuffed with shrapnel and arrows, electronic devices are inserted that detonate not just above the trench, but precisely in the place where the unprotected manpower is currently concentrated. And anti-tank guided missile"Javelin", flying up to the target, makes a maneuver, as a result of which the blow falls not just on the tank, but on the cover of the turret hatch.

It would seem that there is no salvation. But, as our defense specialists say, we will find ... well, in general, a worthy answer to any cunning contraption.

Caution: "Mercury"

Imagine the picture: in the sky - a combat Ka-52, MANPADS "Igla" or "Stinger" hitting the helicopter from the ground. The defeat of the target seems to be inevitable, but when approaching, the rocket suddenly changes direction and goes to the side. The reason is that a system is installed on board the helicopter, which forms a kind of impenetrable dome around it, which cannot be overcome by enemy means of attack. The name of this system is "Vitebsk".

Equally surprising is the Lever complex, which is also installed on board helicopters. He is able to "blind" the enemy at a distance of hundreds of kilometers, creating an invisible shield around our equipment on the ground.

And here is another means of protection, until recently strictly classified. This is the Rtut-BM electronic warfare complex. The last two letters mean that it is placed on a combat vehicle. It can be a car, armored personnel carrier or the widely used MTLB armored artillery tractor.

The essence of the protection is as follows. The vehicle with the "Mercury" complex is installed in the place where the enemy's artillery and missile strike is likely. The front line of the defense is covered with a kind of cloud of radio-electronic radiation. There is one more subtlety. If the electronic warfare systems are on, then they themselves unmask the covered positions with their radiation. But "Mercury" turns on at the moment of an artillery attack for milliseconds. The electronics of the domestic system, by the way, developed almost instantly determines the operating frequency of the enemy radio fuse.

Interference, emitted within a fraction of a second, nevertheless creates a signal that provides such an impact on the radio fuse that it is triggered ahead of time. The same "Javelin", the cost of which is 30 thousand dollars, having got into the zone of action of "Mercury", loses all its "mind" and flies along an uncontrollable trajectory - where the curve will take. The enemy's radio control systems simply do not have time to "grab" and somehow fend off the work of "Mercury". In addition, the complex is mobile and changes its positions very quickly. And it takes no more than 10 minutes to deploy it. During operation, one electronic warfare machine "Mercury-BM" can protect troops on an area of 20 to 50 hectares. One car is served by only two people.

According to the "Radioelectronic Technologies" concern, where these complexes are developed and produced, the need of the Russian Armed Forces for "Mercury-BM" is estimated at 100 vehicles.

"Avtobaza" on guard

One might argue that everything is smooth on paper. But when it comes to real application ... So, domestic electronic warfare systems for past year checked in at least twice.

On March 13, 2014, an American-made MQ-5B reconnaissance and strike drone was intercepted in the skies over Perekop. Judging by the side markings, he was part of the grouping of the 66th American brigade. military intelligence with its main headquarters in Bavaria.

In March 2014 American intelligence officers from this brigade were seen in the area of the Ukrainian Kirovograd. It was from there, according to experts, that the drones began to make reconnaissance raids in the direction of Crimea.

March 13 electronic warfare system with nothing self-explanatory name Avtobaza cut the connection between the drone and its operator, and then forced the drone to make an emergency landing on the territory of Crimea. After that, MQ-5B flights over the peninsula stopped. It is believed that even earlier, in 2011, the American secret RQ-170 Sentinel drone was successfully landed in Iran with the help of the same "Autobase".

In the spring of 2014, the American destroyer Donald Cook entered the Black Sea. A Su-24 flew past him, on board of which the Khibiny electronic warfare system was operating. And on the destroyer the entire control system went out of order, including blind and deaf anti-missile system Aegis. The crew was confused: the sailors did not understand how to further control the ship and what to do in general, when all the monitors went out. Panic arose on board ...

So not every Raptor with Tomahawks will fly to Russia at the ready, colliding with Avtobaza or Khibiny.

Meanwhile

The S-500 anti-aircraft missile systems will appear in 2017. The complexes, the development of which is in full swing, belong to the new generation missile systems"earth - air". The S-500 missile will have a radius of 600 km. The S-500 will repel not only air strikes, but also a strike ballistic missiles... One complex will be able to detect and simultaneously hit up to 10 ballistic targets flying at speeds up to 7 km / s, and even shoot down hypersonic aircraft.

Under the leadership of the commander of the 58th combined-arms army of the Southern Military District, an active phase of bilateral company tactical exercises with units of the Russian military base took place.

In the interests of company commanders, a mixed helicopter squadron performed combat training tasks army aviation Mi-28N " Night Hunter"and the transport-combat Mi-8AMTSh" Terminator ", as well as the assault and operational-tactical aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Southern Military District Su-25, Su-30SM and Su-34.

In accordance with the decision of the commander of the Southern Military District, Colonel-General A. Dvornikov, the formations and military units of the combined-arms formation stationed in the North Caucasus, and the aviation units of the Air Force and Air Defense formations perform combat training tasks in a single plan at combined-arms training grounds located on both sides Caucasian ridge... More than 2 thousand servicemen are taking part in the joint exercises and about 400 units of military equipment are involved. This is stated on the official website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. In Abkhazia under the cover of "Alligators" with air support Russian landing conducted exercises.

Operators of portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS) "Igla" of the Russian military base in Abkhazia in the framework of the bilateral company tactical training hit more than 10 small air targets of the simulated enemy. Also, for the first time, were involved in the exercises in Abkhazia newest complexes radio-electronic warfare "Rtut-BM", with the help of which the servicemen destroyed the guided shells of the naval artillery of the imaginary enemy right during their flight.

"On the coastal training ground of Gudauta using modern complexes EW "Mercury" specialists detected the cannon salvos and, acting with high-power interference on the radio fuses of the guided missiles, forced them to explode in the air, "the official statement of the Southern Military District says.

What the job looks like complex electronic warfare"Mercury" was previously reported in one of the newscasts on the Russia 24 TV channel, dedicated to the rearmament and modernization of the Russian army. The plot shows the work of the complex during exercises near Chelyabinsk.

As noted by the correspondent Russian newspaper Nikolai Grishchenko, military maneuvers in Abkhazia take place during the appearance in the Black Sea of the American missile destroyer Carney. US Navy ship equipped with the system missile defense Aegis poses a potential threat to Russia's military infrastructure. His cruise missiles"Tomahawk" can be aimed at Russian military bases, and therefore exercises with the use of electronic warfare are more than relevant.
