The legendary TV presenter and announcer Angelina Vovk was married twice. She lived with her first husband, actor, announcer Gennady Chertov, for 16 years. The second choice of the presenter was the Czech artist and architect Jindrich. Their marriage lasted 13 years. The most interesting thing is that the spouses lived in different countries.

ON THIS TOPIC

"Jindrich dreamed that I would move to him and built amazing beauty palazzo on the most high point Prague. The whole house was buried in acacia trees. He gave me a lot of expensive things, which I immediately sold (fortunately, those who wanted to buy them lined up): huge sums were required to pay for my telephone conversations with Prague. I went to Czechoslovakia only once or twice a year; more was not allowed,” said Angelina Vovk.

The couple had no children. Only recently, in an interview with Yulia Menshova, the TV presenter admitted that she could not have children due to operations she had undergone in her youth. " Henry offered to foster a child from an orphanage, especially after the 1988 Armenian earthquake. “Take your favorite books, paintings, take your child,” he said, “and come forever!” I didn’t dare to do it!” Sobesednik.Ru quotes Angelina Vovk.

The fact that the bosses had a negative attitude towards the marriage of the TV presenter and a foreigner did not add romance to the relationship between the spouses. “I had several verbal duels with the chairman of the State Television and Radio of the USSR Sergei Lapin. At every opportunity, Sergei Georgievich reproached me with my foreign husband: “Angelina Mikhailovna, are you an honored artist and a citizen of which country?” I answered: “USSR.” “No, Angelina Mikhailovna, not the USSR, but Czechoslovakia, and it seems to me that it would be nice for you to go there.” However, I never even thought about leaving for good. What about work, mom, sister, brother?” Vovk asked a rhetorical question.

- During the Great Patriotic War my father was a pilot, his guards regiment was located in Vnukovo. But in October 1944, disaster struck: his plane went missing. And the three of us were left - mother, grandmother and me. We waited for a long time, everyone hoped that he would return, but this did not happen.

In 1953, my mother married an officer. We lived in a military town, and we had a small plot. Grandmother planted vegetables and potatoes on it. These are hungry times. And I helped her, I was a hardworking girl. The floors in the house are wooden, so I scraped them with a knife to make them white. She cleaned and placed flowers everywhere - we lived almost in the forest. I always wanted to please my mother.

I still work a lot. In addition, I swim in the pool and do Nordic walking. In a word, I don’t want to turn into a decrepit creature.

Prince Charles liked it

My first husband, Gennady Chertov, is an actor and announcer on Central Television. He and I studied together at GITIS. After graduating from college, I was eager to go on stage, but Gennady told me: “In the theater you need claws, teeth and elbows. And you have nothing of this!” And when in 1968 I crossed the threshold of the television center on Shabolovka, I forgot about theater and cinema. I fell in love with television. I liked everything. She hosted a variety of programs, mostly, as we said, “unwatchable”, since they were broadcast only during the day. Led concerts classical music, children's programs, read a lot behind the scenes.

In the late 70s the English press became interested in me. I was not allowed to meet with journalists. We communicated through third parties: they gave me questions, and I gave them answers. One day the head of the broadcasting department called and said that the British were coming, they wanted to meet with me, I should be at Ostankino in the morning. Circumstances were such that I couldn’t come; Tanya Vedeneeva went instead of me. And after some time, one knowledgeable person said that Prince Charles liked me. He was not yet married then. So I didn’t turn out to be a princess.

I'm still waiting for Krutoy to thank me

Aunt Lina with her favorite characters “Good night, kids!”

– In the early 1990s, chaos reigned in the country. The program “Good night, kids!” closed, there was no money for production. But fate brought me together with young bankers who had small children. I told about this problem and they gave me money. But for some reason they didn’t invite me to the program; they offered to pay for participation! I also defended the “Song of the Year” festival during that crisis. Leadership of one large company allocated millions of rubles. I gave them all to Igor Krutoy. And when I told about this in the press, for some reason he became terribly angry. This is instead of gratitude. And I’m still waiting for him to call, thank me and offer his help.

I'm afraid to die before the beast

With her first husband Gennady Chertov

– Yes, life is a test, and you have to endure everything. So many times I was on the verge of life and death. The first time, the doctors even suggested to my husband that those who wanted to say goodbye to me should come while I was still alive. Gennady was there day and night, and they saved me. Valentina Mikhailovna Leontyeva also took part in this, may she rest in heaven. Next time, another difficult operation... In those years, I was friends with Philip Kirkorov and Masha Rasputina, they came to me in the hospital and supported me in every possible way. May God grant them happiness and health. The Lord does not leave me and sends me to difficult moments wonderful people. I pray for them and do not forget. But do you know what I'm afraid of? Die before my beast! They will be thrown out into the street, and I’m sorry. I have four cats and a dog.

We met our eyes and the fire engulfed

“My husband Gennady and I loved each other. But some kind of crack appeared in our relationship. I went to Czechoslovakia to film the program “Speak Russian,” and something happened there that I could never have foreseen. Production designer Henry lost his head because of me. And the fire of love engulfed us. We met our eyes - and that was it, fate struck the door! I flew to Moscow, and he immediately rushed after me. And he flew and came by car until I decided to leave my husband.

I remember I was once wiping a plate, and Gena wanted to take it from me. He pulled it towards himself, and the next second the plate split in our hands into two equal halves. After that we separated.

I didn’t know what to do in the Czech Republic

Angelina Vovk lived with Henry for 13 years

In 1982, Jindrich and I got married and began to live in two countries. If Henry could come often, then this was a problem for me. I could only go once a year at that time. He built a house on the highest point of Prague and didn’t understand why I wasn’t moving.

I had difficulties here and there. My mother was ill, and I did not dare to leave her, and in the Czech Republic after 1968 the attitude towards us was very negative. When soviet tanks entered Prague, people died. Henry also had a relative who died on those fateful days.

The husband did not demonstrate his attitude towards this event, but when he came to Moscow, he became gloomy and perceived many things with hostility. And in the Czech Republic people openly expressed negative attitude to our country as an aggressor. It was difficult for me there. Besides, I didn’t know what I would do. Sitting in a huge house and, as they say, preening your feathers from morning to evening? Financial position my husband was allowed not to work and lead a secular lifestyle. I didn’t imagine myself in this capacity. If there were children, I would take care of them, the house, the family. But, alas! Well, and then the Velvet Revolution in Prague, endless unrest and lawlessness in the USSR put an end to our family. Neither he nor I are at all to blame for this.

Angelina Vovk - biography

One of the famous TV presenters in the Soviet Union. Children were waiting for her appearance on the TV screen to fall asleep at the end of the program “Good night, kids!” And after the popular “Song of the Year,” viewers could no longer imagine another presenter.

Childhood, family

Angelina was born in war time in one of the cities Irkutsk region. My father flew on military planes. While performing a combat mission, his plane crashed in the skies of Yugoslavia in 1944. Already at the age of two, the girl’s biography began to take shape very sadly. The father died, the mother raised her daughter alone. She left with little Angelina for the capital of Russia and began working in the accounting department at Vnukovo airport. Thus, the girl dreamed of linking her destiny with the sky. Angelina wanted to become a flight attendant. English was not only the most necessary, but also a favorite subject.

Mom was against her daughter's choice. And the biographical page about Angelina Vovk’s further education began at GITIS. She was lucky enough to study with direct students of Nemirovich-Danchenko and Stanislavsky. But this did not really inspire the student, since Vovk had never been a fan of cinema. The girl was beautiful and statuesque by nature, so the All-Union Modeling Agency immediately became interested in her.

Fashion was not in favor Soviet society, but the trendsetters of fashionable and beautiful clothes worked on Kuznetsky Most. Working at an agency and studying at the institute often exhausted the student, and fitting and fitting clothes lasted for hours. Angelina went through five full-fledged clothing shows, where she was trusted to demonstrate sports outfits.

There are not many films to the credit of actress Angelina Vovk. You can count them on one hand, since the actress failed to make friends with feature films. Angelina takes the next step: she enters the VGIK directing department. Studying for a year showed the girl that directing was not suitable for her. She decides to complete the announcer course.

Angelina Vovk - television

After completing the courses, Vovk was assigned to Central Television. The first was news, which had to be read from a page. This was somewhat difficult for Angelina, since she had to wear glasses to read due to poor eyesight. And reading from the screen with glasses was humiliating for her. And there was too much officiality in the news broadcasts.

This is how the young announcer turned out to be in the children's department, which brought her incredible popularity. Aunt Lina was good friend for the kids who sat on the other side of the TV screen from Sunday mornings and every evening.

TV shows “Alarm Clock” and “Good Night, Kids!” were the most popular. With experience came recognition from the adult category of viewers. She co-hosted “Morning Mail” with Yuri Nikolaev, “Blue Lights” and eighteen episodes of “Song of the Year” with Evgeny Menshov.

In biography famous TV presenter There were a number of equally popular TV shows, but the most surprising was her next participation in the show project “Dancing with the Stars.” More than a year worked with Gennady Malakhov in the “Good Health!” program. At seventy years old, Angelina Vovk took to the dance floor together with Oleg Vechkasov.

Angelina Vovk - biography of personal life

The TV presenter got married twice. For the first time she was married to her broadcasting partner Gennady Chertov. Their union existed for sixteen years, it was real love. But in family life Misunderstandings began and the couple divorced. The reason for the divorce was Angelina’s reluctance to have children; for her, only her career came first.

Second husband Vovk chose a foreigner. The husband was from the Czech Republic and was an artist and architect by profession. They lived with Jindřich Getz for thirteen years in an official marriage. Unfortunately, none of them dared to leave their homeland for each other. And rare meetings served as a reason for the coldness of relations and divorce.

There was another short-lived romance in the life of the presenter. It was civil marriage, which left a mark on her heart. Living with her men, Angelina never became a mother. The actress is loved by many, so she is often invited as a godmother; she already has twelve godchildren, whom she considers to be her own grandchildren. This disappointment in family life does not prevent you from leading a full, active lifestyle.

Angelina Vovk takes care of her health, sticks to a diet, goes swimming, alpine skiing, winter swimming. Angelina Mikhailovna does not hide the fact that she takes special care of her appearance. She's done it many times already plastic surgery, boldly tries different new cosmetology products. She teaches the art of public speaking at the Institute for Young Children, so she herself must be a role model.

Awards and community service

Since 2006, Angelina Mikhailovna was awarded the title of People's Artist Russian Federation. Every year, the former All-Russian children's camp "Orlyonok" holds its own festival "Song of the Year". Angelina Vovk – President of the Russian Foundation for Culture and Art. For her, it is a matter of honor to revive the traditions and musical culture of the Russian people.

Looking at the blooming Angelina Mikhailovna, you wouldn’t say that today, September 16, she turns 75 years old, and her kids have grown up long ago. But for most, Vovk is still the same kind Aunt Lina with a pleasant voice. The Soviet TV star will celebrate her anniversary in an unusual way - at the Luna Theater: she will present her friends and colleagues with the premiere of the musical “The Seagull” based on Anton Chekhov’s play. And in a couple of days he will fly away Cote d'Azur to France, where she will continue the celebration and will also act as the host of the film festival. A week before the event, Angelina Mikhailovna told StarHit who was saving her from depression, what frightens her about raising her granddaughters, and where she hid the dolls Khryusha and Stepashka during the coup.

The Irony of Fate

Angelina Mikhailovna, your age is known according to your passport. How much is there in the soul?

I feel, of course, not 18, but not 75 either. It is difficult to determine the age of the soul, because it does not age, but gains wisdom and develops. I feel like a mature person. And when I see peers my age, I understand how well done she is for always taking care of herself. It's not just about the outer shell. I realized a long time ago that you need to think positively, then life will be easier. Being an optimist is more pleasant, including for those around you. Why annoy them? This knowledge came to me from my family. My grandmother survived revolutions, wars, famine, but she never lost heart. Her faith in God saved her. Mom got it too hard fate. Dad, a pilot, crashed during the war. I was only two years old. Mom was very worried, but always looked forward. There are many reasons to drive yourself into depression, but a smile is like the sun that illuminates a person’s path.

Do you attend church?

Despite the fact that I often accompanied my grandmother to services, she never imposed faith. I became imbued with it myself many years later, in the 80s. One day I left the house on the street, and evil whirlwinds were whistling around me. Perhaps it was a natural phenomenon, but I felt internally that I had to run to church. Nearby, on Arbat, there was a temple of the Jerusalem Compound. I collapsed in front of the Kazan Icon Mother of God and since then I have been there often. I am grateful to Fathers Mikhail and Alexander for spiritual support. The latter is my mentor. Together with her friends, she helped Father Alexander restore the Church of the Savior on the Sands, where Soviet time Soyuzmultfilm was located. And I, the host of “Good night, kids!”, spoke out against my native organization with a request to return the land to the church. It is this temple, by the way, that is depicted in Vasily Polenov’s painting “Moscow Courtyard”. This is such an irony of fate.

You once said that you are in close connection with God...

Yes, once I even saw the face of Christ. I was going through a bitter moment, lay down during the day, and God appeared before me. Perhaps it was a dream, but after it the problem was resolved. And later a much more interesting incident occurred. My friend Sveta and I were once driving along the Warsaw Highway. She's driving, I'm in the passenger seat. And suddenly I look up, and it’s as if a woman in a white chiton, with her hair down, and her arms are raised up, is floating across the sky. The engines of all the cars stopped at once. While the people were looking around, the unusual figure disappeared. And the next day, August 18, 1991, the putsch began. I woke up at 4 am to the sounds of machine gun fire. They were shooting in the White House area, and the sound was as if it was under the window. I realized that I had to go save the country. I took the Piggy and Stepashka dolls, hid them under my cloak, called a friend, and we went together to White House. I didn’t manage to get inside, but the soldiers’ eyes welled up with tears when I opened my trench coat. My attempt to stop the riots looked so touching.

You are an activist! Probably for this reason they are still in demand, although many of your peers complain that they have been forgotten...

Of course, it was hard when we were all kicked out of the door in the 90s. Due to lack of funding, they wanted to close the “Good Night, Kids!” program, but I saved it - I brought a sponsor. Then she created the “Song of the Year” festival, which is being held for the 18th time at Orlyonok in Tuapse. This year my great-niece Anechka went there. I have always fought for programs for the younger generation. Once I even wrote a letter to the president, which I managed to convey with the help of friends. And two weeks later, Vladimir Putin announced that it was necessary to create children’s television, and that’s how the Carousel channel appeared.

House by the sea

Tell us about Angelina and Anna (Vovk’s nephew’s daughters – Note from StarHit). They have already grown up...

Yes. It so happened that I don’t have my own children. That’s why I raise girls like granddaughters. Both study at the mathematical lyceum. Angelina, named after me, is seriously engaged English language. Anya, in my opinion, has every chance of becoming a cosmetologist. Beautiful female profession, always in demand. But we'll see how fate plays out. Maybe she can't stand the sight of blood? I can’t even clean my cats’ ears myself, I ask my friends. The only thing that scares me about today's youth is their passion for the Internet.

I won’t say that I’m a Facebook girl, although at first I regularly logged into this social network. Then I got tired of it, and I don’t have time. Meetings, work, procedures, cats, dogs... And at night I prefer to sleep. I am proficient with gadgets, but at the usual level. I have an iPhone. I like the WhatsApp application.

By the way, about procedures. Do you still visit a cosmetologist? I know that you love this business.

On September 16, famous TV presenter and People's Artist of Russia Angelina Vovk turns 76 years old. The programs “Good Night, Kids” and “Song of the Year” could not be imagined without her participation, but for many years she has not appeared on screens. It turns out that her television career did not end of her own free will, and her departure from television was forced. Angelina Vovk is still having a hard time experiencing these events and only recently spoke about who was involved in this drama.
Angelina Vovk in her youth | Photo: diwis.ru and kino-teatr.ru Viewers might never have seen TV presenter Angelina Vovk - as a child she dreamed of a completely different profession. She was born at the height of the Great Patriotic War, and her father, a military pilot, went missing during the fighting. Angelina's mother long years did not lose hope for his return, but later it became known that his plane crashed and he himself died. The daughter also dreamed of heaven and wanted to become a flight attendant. However, for the mother, all conversations about flying were extremely painful; she was worried that her daughter might repeat her father’s fate, and therefore Angelina had to abandon her plans.
Still from the film *There Lives a Guy Like This*, 1964 | Photo: kino-teatr.ru One day, a friend invited her to submit documents to GITIS for company - and unexpectedly for herself, Angelina entered the acting department. And during her studies, she tried herself as a fashion model - then she was invited to the All-Union House of Models on Kuznetsky Most. It was in this image that she first appeared on the screens - she was offered to play a fashion model in the film “There Lives a Guy Like This.” Then she starred in war drama“Farewell,” but that was the end of her film career—she did not become an actress.
Central Television announcer Angelina Vovk | Photo: diwis.ru and aif.ru Angelina Vovk was also unable to work in the theater, and in 1968 she again became a student - this time she entered the Institute of Television at the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company in the directing department. But a year later she realized that with her character she would never become a director - for this she needed to be much tougher and purposeful. It was at this time that she learned that enrollment had been announced for a broadcasting course, and decided to complete it.
There were few announcers then, and there was a huge demand for this profession. Even during her studies, Angelina received many offers to host various programs on television. After she received her diploma, she was accepted into the announcer department of the USSR Central Television. Her television career began with news, but Angelina had poor eyesight, and she could only read the news with glasses. Moreover, the cheerful girl constantly smiled in the frame, which did not at all correspond to the image of the news show host, so she soon changed her activity profile.
Angelina Vovk in the program *Good night, kids!* | Photo: 24smi.org Angelina Vovk was transferred to the children's broadcast department. This is how “Aunt Lina” appeared, whom more than one generation of young TV viewers remembers. “Alarm Clock” on Sundays and “Good Night, Kids” on weekday evenings, many children watched only for her - when these programs began, they froze in front of the screens, as if hypnotized. And when in the 1990s. Difficult times had come in cinema and television and the program was about to be closed due to lack of funding. Angelina Vovk, speaking at a corporate event in a bank, turned to bankers with a request for help, and they fully paid all the necessary expenses, since they themselves grew up watching this program .
Adult viewers soon fell under the charm of the famous TV presenter. She hosted “Morning Mail” together with Yuri Nikolaev, “Blue Light”, “Song of the Year” together with Evgeny Menshov. For her many years of participation in the music festival, the name of Angelina Vovk was included in the Guinness Book of Records. She became one of the most popular domestic TV presenters, women in hairdressers asked to have their hair done like hers, and men bombarded her with letters.
Hosts of the program *Song of the Year* Evgeniy Menshov and Angelina Vovk | Photo: rus.jauns.lv Together with Evgeniy Menshov, they looked so harmonious on the screens that many viewers were sure that they had more than just a professional relationship. In fact, they never had an affair, and at first they couldn’t find one at all. mutual language. Angelina was irritated by the fact that Menshov was used to learning the text for a long time and sticking to the script, but she grasped everything on the fly and easily improvised.
They remained the permanent presenters of “Song of the Year” until 2006, when Alla Pugacheva suddenly expressed a desire to host the program with them. At first, she acted as a co-host, but as the show progressed, she took the reins into her own hands, constantly changing the script and, as a result, removing all episodes from it with the participation of regular hosts. And when they realized that they were being relegated to the role of “voices behind the scenes,” they had to leave. Then no one asked Angelina Vovk and Evgeny Menshov for forgiveness, they didn’t even explain anything to them.
Hosts of the program *Song of the Year* Evgeniy Menshov and Angelina Vovk | Photo: 24smi.org The TV presenter only recently spoke about who was involved in her departure from “Song of the Year”. True, she was not used to complaining about fate and was laconic in her confessions: “I can only say: it’s sad that Krutoy and Pugacheva acted very incorrectly towards me and my co-host Evgeny Menshov. This is in the spirit of our times...”
After she was taken away favorite child, she appeared on screens for some time, broadcasting “ Good morning, Russia!”, “Good health!”, “In our time” and the talk show “Your Business”. However, nothing could replace her program, without which she could not imagine her existence - “Song of the Year”. The audience gradually began to forget about her, she stopped feeling needed and in demand. The presenter said bitterly: “Unfortunately, today’s television does not need professionals. My time is up." But even in the most difficult times, Angelina Vovk did not give up. In 2012, she again made people talk about herself, at the age of 70, becoming a participant in the television project “Dancing with the Stars.”
Angelina Vovk was married twice, but both marriages broke up. She had children in none of them, but the TV presenter became a godmother 11 times, so she doesn’t feel lonely. And at 76 years old, Vovk takes care of herself and looks great, she is still full of strength and energy. She visits the pool, swims in the ice hole in the winter and goes ice skating. The TV presenter is actively engaged social activities, for 4 convocations in a row she became a municipal deputy, dealing with issues of children's education and leisure. Under her leadership, the international children's festival “Song of the Year” was held. In addition, the TV presenter teaches and heads the department of stage speech at the Institute of Culture.
