About the competition
I have been watching the show “Let Them Talk” for a very long time. When the producers of the program again decided to launch the competition “On Vacation with Andrei Malakhov,” I immediately decided to participate. I realized that I would win a trip as soon as I sat down to write a letter for the transfer. Therefore, when they called me and told me that I had passed, I was not at all surprised.
Of course, it’s very nice that out of 27 thousand letters they chose mine. I think it's because of the content. In the letter I told about my fate, about life in orphanage, about working as a horse breeder. Then the guys from Andrei’s team admitted that they cried while reading my message.
About the trip
I didn’t prepare in advance, I didn’t buy anything, since a lot of money had already been spent on collecting documents: I needed a visa, an international passport, and an account statement. All my relatives supported me, my daughters and granddaughters were very happy! I was worried, but just a little.
In September we went to the island. I arrived at the Moscow airport and met with the participants there. We became friends very quickly and talked, so it wasn’t scary to fly.
When we arrived in Italy, we were taken to a hotel. In the evening Andrei Malakhov arrived there. He is very nice! He hugged everyone and asked about the journey. When he approached me, he didn’t recognize me at first, because I had sent my old photograph, where I have white hair. And when he realized it, he said that in life I was much better, more beautiful and younger!
Every day we had various excursions: winery, cheese factory, architectural monuments. But what I liked most was horse riding. After all, I worked with horses for 33 years, as I worked as a groom at the Perm plant! I also tried a lot of dishes in Sardinia. Cheese and ice cream different varieties, wine, coffee.
About Andrey Malakhov
All people who went on vacation have difficult lives. They were chosen because Andrey feels a person without even seeing him: just from a letter. He's like a magician. Despite this, Andrey - very simple - hugged us and laughed with us. He doesn't care whether you're rich or poor: he treats everyone the same. I gave Andrey a calendar with our Belogorsk Monastery, he sincerely liked it.
Andrey, of course, is a very cheerful and charming man. When we were sitting in a restaurant on the first evening, I accidentally spilled wine on myself. Andrey laughed and said: “To the money!” And in general he joked all evening and asked us about life. Amazing person!
By the way, tourists in Italy recognized him and took pictures with him, but Andrei was not “arrogant” and was rather indifferent to this.
Overall, I really enjoyed the trip. Finally I went abroad! And, undoubtedly, I will continue to watch Andrei Malakhov’s programs.

On vacation with Andrey Malakhov: vacation in the Dominican Republic on “Live”
One of the participants in the competition from StarHit “On vacation with Andrei Malakhov” is Irina Gribanova in the studio of the “Live Broadcast” program:
“I learned about the victory from my children. They came early in the morning with the whole family and gave me a surprise: a lot balloons and a magazine where my photo was among the winners.
— Life is full of miracles and surprises. Right at the resort, my husband Lyosha proposed to me. I couldn’t even answer “yes” because I was speechless. The vacation itself was unforgettable and magical!
The next participant on the broadcast: Honored Captain Valentin Rodchenko, Hero of the USSR, who previously appeared on Andrei Malakhov’s program.
Back in 1986, the research vessel Mikhail Somov was returning from another voyage from Antarctica. On this ship, food, medicine, etc. were delivered to polar explorers. But on the way home, the ship was captured by ice. The crew was unable to cope with the difficult situation on their own and remained on board for a long time. 77 people spent 133 days with captain Valentin Rodchenko...
The operation to save the ship was simply incredible. After his release, Valentin Filippovich became a Hero of the Soviet Union. 30 years after this event, the film “Icebreaker” (2016) was shot. Kira was born on February 12, 2011. in Ukhta, R. Komi. While still in the maternity hospital, we were diagnosed with: Bilateral microtia (underdevelopment) of the ears, atresia (absence) of the ear canals. Before the birth of our daughter, we had no idea that such a developmental anomaly existed in nature.
I cannot express in words what I experienced when, immediately after the birth of my daughter, the midwife asked if I had suffered from anything during pregnancy. And then they showed me Kira... My daughter had no ears, and instead of them only small cartilages and lobes... In the first week after Kira was born, I did not fully understand what had happened. And it even seemed to me that my daughter’s ears were like everyone else’s, only small! Later came awareness and depression. The joy of the birth of a child quickly gave way to spiritual impotence, sleepless nights, endless tears. There was one question in my head: Why? Why did this happen to my girl? Fear for the child's life literally tore him from within. Doctors immediately warned that such a developmental defect is often accompanied by various pathologies internal organs, syndromes of various origins. But God had mercy on us! No other pathologies were found in Kira.
Then began a series of hospitals, examinations and the first diagnosis - complete deafness. Thank God it was not confirmed! After going through all the examinations, including with a geneticist and an audiologist in Syktyvkar, we received an accurate diagnosis. At 3 months I was granted disability. When Kira was 4 months old, we purchased two Kontakt Mini bone conduction hearing aids with a soft bandage, which we still use today. The sounds that Kira hears through the devices are metallic and not the same as what we are used to hearing. This means that even Kira hears her mother’s voice differently....
Kira was growing up, and we were looking for any information about our daughter’s diagnosis. Doctors of the main Russian clinics unanimously stated that at 5-6 years old our ear canals will be opened, and at 9 years old they will make ears and that’s it, the problem is solved! But! after 6 years, practically nothing has changed. In Russia there is no competent specialist in this field, most operations are unsuccessful. The auditory canals undergo restenosis (overgrow again), and the auricles are made from the patient’s costal cartilages (the lower ribs are removed and the frame of the future ear is created from them). The results of ear surgery are also not impressive, and removing the lower ribs can have a bad effect on pregnancy in the future.
In March 2017, we miraculously learned about magic doctors from the USA who have been successfully performing operations to restore the ear, and most importantly, hearing, for more than 20 years! On April 16, 2017, we were in Moscow at a conference with professors Dr. Roberson and Dr. Reinisch. After examining Kira and the results computed tomography, audiograms, the professors concluded that Kira’s hearing can be restored by opening the ear canals and making beautiful ears (frame) from the artificial material Medpor. This implant is not rejected by the body, and externally the ear does not differ from the usual one. We also learned that Kira’s auditory ossicles are underdeveloped, which makes it impossible to restore hearing just by opening the passages. But also there's a doctor here Roberson reassured us. During the operation, a titanium implant Prosthetic will be placed on the auditory ossicles, which will compensate for their underdevelopment, and KIRA WILL HEAR!
On this moment Kira's life is completely dependent on hearing aids. Without them, Kira hears and understands speech only at a distance of half a meter from her. Hearing without a device is at a level of 70 - 90 decibels, which is equal to the sound strength of a working jackhammer! The hearing aids themselves, despite their quality, do not accurately transmit all sounds, so Kira, of course, has problems with speech. After all, as we hear, so we speak. Kira is working hard with a speech therapist. Every day we “fight” for our speech, because soon Kira will go to school.
After weighing all the pros and cons, we decided to act. The amount for two combined operations is a little more than 10 million rubles. For our family, this amount is unaffordable. We ask all caring people to help our daughter live a full life!

The winners of the competition did not know where they were flying until the last moment. They learned the name of the country only on the way to the airport, and it turned out to be the Dominican Republic, where a luxurious hotel, discos, dolphins, yachts and the most incredible adventures awaited the lucky ones.
Now they call Andrei Malakhov nothing more than " good fairy", and are happy to share their impressions of fabulous holiday. Precisely fabulous, because most of these people have no simple fate, and the meeting with the beautiful returned their joy and changed some beyond recognition.
