Further career
Thanks to his work at a theater studio, Gauguin gets the opportunity to participate in several television programs, such as "Up to 16 and Older", "Krugolya", "I'll Sing Right Now", "The Deal of Technology", "Cactus and Company" and many others. In parallel, he is trying to independently learn to sing and even give concerts.
Since at that time Solntsev was still trying to enter the theater (and he went to enter the directing department), concerts became a serious problem for the student. At the same time, due to the difficult and very original nature of Ilya, his relationship with art directors, teachers and other students can hardly be called friendly, therefore, after studying for six months, Solntsev takes an academic leave.
For the next few years, Gauguin tried unsuccessfully to work. He sells perfumes, sings in bars and cafes of the city, sells theater tickets. He never returns to a higher educational institution, because a year after the academic leave he finds a couple of more television programs, with the help of which he is trying to make himself popular.
A couple of years later, Solntsev ventured into a rather risky experiment in financial terms - without a theatrical education and experience, he created his own Theater of Horrors, where Kairat Kantridze, Gauguin's best friend, became the chief administrator. Together they bring improvised theater to the international level and stage productions in Germany, Italy and Bulgaria, where they even receive a prize for originality.

Solntsev was born into the family of a teacher and a Greek ambassador when the boy was 2 years old - his parents divorced. The father left for his homeland, and his mother Lyudmila Kravtsova left her son to be raised by her sister and mother. In the life of Gauguin, she appeared only after his fame. At school, the young man became interested in theater, dreamed of entering the directing department. But his family could not pay for the expensive training, and after receiving a certificate, the guy had to take courses in network managers and start selling Swiss cosmetics.
For no more than six months, Ilya worked in the network business, it was during this period that he decided to change his name and surname, try on a shocking image and still fulfill his dream of acting. So, from Ilya Kravtsov - a distributor of cosmetics, he became Gauguin Solntsev - an outrageous, bright artist, capable of turning every stage or appearance on the screen into a show. The creative nature of Solntsev demanded implementation, and soon he came to the television project "House 2".
Solntsev's life now
In "House 2" Gauguin appeared 2 times and was remembered by the audience, but his outrageousness prevented him from building love on the project. After leaving the show, he appeared in the series "The Trail", the program "Let's Get Married" and in a dozen other talk shows. At the moment, Gauguin Solntsev is the founder and director of the Theater of the Absurd, the Theater Factory of Gauguin Solntsev.
By the way, during the time after leaving "House 2" the artist managed to get a higher acting education at the RATI and completed business management courses at the Higher School of Economics. In addition, Gauguin managed to act in films and abroad. In the filmography of the artist there is a cameo role from a film made in Poland, where Gauguin played himself.
Explosive nature
In addition to his successes in the work of Solntsev, he is known for his shocking antics - so, in 2017, he had a row with a saleswoman in a lingerie store, the woman accused the artist of attempting to steal, for which she got punched in the face.
Also, the artist started a fight on the air “Let Them Talk”, one of his “colleagues in the shop” called the showman an insulting word, which the first channel “beeped”, but for this the unrestrained artist received a slap in the face from Gauguin. There is a known case when Gauguin had a fight with a waiter in one of the Moscow restaurants - the young man brought the artist the wrong dish and tried to be rude to Solntsev. Instead of a peaceful solution to the situation, the artist preferred to resolve the conflict with his fists.
Family and relationships
Within the framework of the "House 2" project, Gauguin did not manage to build his love, but immediately after leaving he met Elena, the woman helped the guy get an education, literally "blinded" him into a star. The couple broke up in early 2015 for unclear reasons. Currently, Gauguin is in love with Catherine, who is 63 years old.
The age difference does not scare the lovers. The couple often appears in public - they participate in TV shows, post joint photos on Instagram and are planning a magnificent wedding.
