"Vepr" - a family of smoothbore and rifled self-loading carbines, created on the basis of the 7.62-mm Kalashnikov light machine gun (RPK) at the Vyatsko-Polyansky machine-building plant "Molot". They are still produced at this company to this day. The first gun of this family was developed in 1995. The Vepr carbines appeared because the military industry needed to survive in the nineties. Design
The Vepr carbine makes maximum use of parts and components of the Kalashnikov light machine gun.
