On Wednesday, February 28, deputies proposed introducing criminal liability for health workers who, through negligence, replaced children in maternity hospitals. The bill provides for punishment of up to five years in prison and a fine of 200 thousand rubles. The idea came about after two elderly women decided to sue the maternity hospital over a mistake that happened almost 40 years ago. In 1978, during discharge from the maternity ward, obstetricians mixed up newborn girls. All this time, families raised other people's children as their own, and now they are preparing lawsuits. One of the mothers recognized that the child had been switched even when she took the baby in her arms for the first time, but she managed to get to the bottom of the truth only many years later. The history of these families resembles the plot of a melodrama, however, such cases began to be revealed more and more often in different regions countries. Medical negligence has caused discord in families and created mistrust between parents for years. The portal site found out how the fates of children who were mixed up in maternity hospitals turned out.

It's like you've been replaced

From the very beginning, Rimma Shvetsova suspected that she was raising someone else’s child: the fair-haired, blue-eyed girl did not look like anyone in the household. When Veronica was born, the family already had two children, another one - a boy - was born a few years later. As she grew older, the difference between her and her sisters and brother became more and more noticeable. In addition to external differences, the baby had a different blood type. The father of the family did not like the girl and was sure that the daughter was from another man. Due to constant reproaches, the family fell apart: the husband found another woman and filed for divorce. And Rimma was left alone with four children in her arms.

Shvetsova remembered very well that on the day of birth, in addition to her, there were three other women in the department. Among them was Yulia Savelyeva, to whom they gave the brown-eyed girl. None of the children had tags on their arms. Tatyana, who grew up in the Savelyev family, on the contrary, was a favorite child. Although problematic: other children were afraid of her. Almost no attention was paid to her difference from her parents.

The families first met when the girls were less than one year old. Rimma Shvetsova came to visit the Savelyevs and shared her suspicion that the children had been replaced.

“Rimma Pavlovna came to us with Veronica and said that our children were changed, apparently in the maternity hospital, that her husband didn’t like her daughter, that she didn’t look like them,” Yulia Savelyeva told ProPerm. - But I didn’t give my Tanya away, of course. My husband loves children. And how can I give my child away, she’s already so big, she’s smiling. No, I won't give it away. And it was hard for me to believe that doctors could do this - change our children.”

In addition, the possibility of doing a DNA examination and proving medical error Women didn't have it back then. Even in the early 2000s, DNA tests were expensive and only performed in major cities. In a small village in Perm region it was impossible to do anything like that.

Almost 40 years later, Shvetsova turned to the “Let Them Talk” program and told her story. Child switching is one of the favorite plots of Russian TV shows. The editors of the TV show invited parents and their grown-up daughters to the studio. And it was there that the results of the DNA test were announced: the probability of a match was 99%.

“For the first time in my life, I was confused,” Rimma Pavlovna shared her impressions. “I have been through so much, endured so much, I never expected anything from the state and never asked for anything. I was confused, offended and very angry at our medicine.”

It was she who first decided to file a claim with the regional Ministry of Health. It will not be possible to hold doctors accountable. Limitation periods for criminal liability medical workers have long expired. If we consider that the girls were born 40 years ago, then obstetricians may no longer be alive. By material damage The term is only three years, but for moral damage it is completely absent.

“Since each person individually experienced moral suffering because of this story, the lawsuits will not be collective. Rimma Shvetsova is already preparing a lawsuit, Yulia Savelyeva too. According to judicial practice, you can count on about a million rubles,” lawyer Igor Savvin, who represents the interests of the victims in court, explains to the website portal.

Fathers can also be considered victims in this situation. Especially considering the fact that the replacement of a child in the maternity hospital served as the basis for mistrust and family breakdown. “The Shvetsovs’ husband started drinking heavily because of this. He had a stroke a few years ago and is having difficulty communicating. But he has every right to go to court,” Savvin added.

It is quite possible to sue for compensation, Savvin is sure. Moreover, four families who found themselves in similar circumstances have already succeeded.

Chelyabinsk Zita and Gita

A high-profile incident occurred in Chelyabinsk region in the summer of 2017. Zoya Tuganova proved that she raised and educated someone else’s daughter. Due to an error by obstetricians, the Russian girl was raised in a Bashkir family, and the Bashkir girl in a Russian one.

Even during discharge, Tuganova realized that this was not her child, but the doctors threatened the mother with a psychiatric examination and forced her to accept someone else’s baby. While the dark-skinned girl, named Katya, grew up in a prosperous family, her own daughter Lucia languished in poverty.

The father who raised her suspected his wife of infidelity due to the birth of a girl, began drinking heavily, and then went to prison for murder. At the age of 13, Lucia was sent to Orphanage. Tuganova found her own daughter 30 years later on social networks: she remembered the name of the woman in labor from the next ward, to whom, as it seemed to her, her girl could be given. Lucia lived very poorly, became disabled and raised three children.

Only one of the mothers, Tuganova, went to court and won the lawsuit. Tuligenova was no longer alive at that time. The victim demanded 10 million for replacing the children, but received 1 million rubles. She considered the amount too small to cover the damage caused.

“If the children had not been mixed up, my own daughter would have grown up in love and would not have ended up in an orphanage. I'm 70 years old now. At this age, I can no longer help her financially. I live on one pension. The mistake that doctors made costs much more,” Tuganova told KP Chelyabinsk.

I won’t give up what’s mine, I won’t give up someone else’s

In all four cases of child substitution, the court sided with the victims. IN Oryol region It was even possible to punish the perpetrators. In 2009, hearings were held about the replacement of two babies - Nikita and Adlan. The parents learned about the nurse’s mistake two years later: the mother of one of the boys, Anna Androsova, discovered a different name on back side newborn tags - Zarema Taisumova.

Then she contacted the Chechen family, but they flatly refused to give up blue-eyed Adlan. At that time, the boy had already become like family to them. The Taisumov family was preparing to move to Grozny; it never occurred to them that the child they were raising could be replaced.

The Androsovs went to court, a DNA examination was ordered, which showed that, due to an error, a Chechen boy was raised in the Androsov family, and a Russian boy with a severe congenital defect was raised in the Taisumov family. After the test, the children were returned to their families. The court awarded the mother of each child 150 thousand rubles. The midwife who admitted fatal mistake while swaddling children, fired. The families were denied the opportunity to initiate a criminal case into the substitution of babies.

The “buried” one was returned

Events developed no less dramatically in Volgograd, where the mother was returned to her son, who, due to a medical error, was listed as dead for seven years. The parents learned that their son was actually alive from the bailiffs, who sent them a document on the collection of alimony. Not finding the family at home, the FSSP seized the money in the mother’s account. The debt amounted to 230 thousand rubles. When the woman came to the department to investigate, she was informed that her son, whom they considered dead, had been in the orphanage all this time.

“Looking at the documents, the parent fainted. And after bringing her to her senses, it turned out that the couple was sure all this time that the child had died,” the service department for the Volgograd region said in a statement.

The boy was born in 2011, and doctors gave him a few days. The young parents wrote a refusal to give up their child, but a few days later they changed their minds and returned to pick him up. Then doctors stated that the child did not survive.

On New Year's Eve, the family went to court to restore parental rights and celebrated the holiday in full force. However, they did not seek compensation for childhood spent without parents due to someone else’s oversight. On the contrary, they paid alimony for the maintenance of the child whom they “buried” and mourned.

“The parents were very frightened by the public outcry that their story caused, I had to reassure them. They asked me not to disclose their personal information, and I promised them this on my part. This is a prosperous family, they still have two children; in 2017, their parental rights were restored in relation to their disabled son. I don’t have any concerns for the child who was returned to the family,” said Nina Boldyreva, Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Volgograd Region.

She considers this story to be fiction and refuses to believe that the child could be declared dead and sent to an orphanage. According to her, already in those years active work was carried out to prevent social orphanhood and doctors simply could not allow this to happen.

Continuation of the issue Let them say - A mistake in the maternity hospital. On this broadcast, you watched an amazing life story about how 34 years ago, in a maternity hospital in a Buryat village, newborn girls - Yulia and Dugarma - were changed. Yesterday this terrible error was corrected in the program. One of the heroines of the broadcast, Honored Artist of Buryatia Alisa Tsyrenova, became convinced that all this time she was raising someone else’s child. However, today she and the other participants in the issue will be no less shocked... Watch Let them talk - Mistake in the maternity hospital Part 2 02/07/2017

But before you learn new details of the broadcast, it’s worth remembering what happened: on January 21, 1983, Alisa Tsyrenova gave birth to a daughter early in the morning in the village of Kurumkan (Republic of Buryatia). A few hours later, in the same maternity hospital there was a woman named Lyubov, who also gave birth to a daughter. Later long years each of the women learned that her own daughter lived in another family. It became clear that the newborn girls were switched that day in the maternity hospital. The results of the DNA test in the last issue dotted all the i's and, it would seem, there are no more secrets. But then other shocking details are revealed!

Let them talk - Mistake in the maternity hospital Part 2

In the studio of the “Let Them Talk” program, Yulia Tsyrenova’s aunt is Tsytsyk Putushkina, who suggests that her sister Alisa...was also mixed up in the maternity hospital!

“It’s not easy for my sister Alice now.” We had no doubt at all that Yulia was our blood, our niece. Now we have another niece - Dagurma and we will love her too. Of course, neither we nor Yulia’s parents are to blame for this.

— Once, when I was 23 years old, there was my cousin’s wedding. I was a friend there, and an unfamiliar woman approached me and said that Alice was her own daughter!

All traces lead to the maternity hospital

On the Let Them Talk program (episode Error in the Maternity Hospital Part 2 dated 02/07/2017), the results of a DNA test for the relationship of two sisters: Alisa and Tsytsyk were announced. The news shocked everyone present in the studio: Alice was not Native sister Tsytsyk! Moreover, Alisa Tsyrenova was born...in the same maternity hospital in the village of Kurumkan as her daughter and Lyuba’s daughter!

But that’s not all: another DNA test was carried out to determine the kinship of other women from Buryatia invited to the program, one of whom was born in the same maternity hospital: Tatiana and Butidma. Surprisingly, they are not sisters either.

In one of them it turns out that the mother who raised her stepdaughter was confused more than half a century ago.

On January 30, the studio of the popular Russian talk show “Let Them Talk” filmed a program about the substitution of children in a maternity hospital in the Kurumkansky district. It will presumably air on Tuesday, February 7th. During the investigation of the 34-year-old story, Moscow journalists revealed new details, so there will be two issues. In the second, they will talk about the details of the replacement of children in the same maternity hospital, but which occurred more than half a century ago.

Switched children

Let us recall that in one of latest numbers newspaper "Inform Policy" (dated January 18 this year), a journalist from the publication spoke about what happened 34 years ago. On the same day, January 21, 1983, two girls were born here, within a few hours of each other. For almost 15 years, there was speculation that none of them looked like their mother. A genetic examination carried out at the Center for Molecular Genetics (CMG) in Moscow put an end to this issue. The initiators of the DNA analysis were Alisa Tsyrenova and her daughter Yulia, who live in Ulan-Ude.

Ironically, the second woman who gave birth on January 21, 1983 was Alisa Tsyrenova’s namesake - Lyubov Tsyrenova from the village of Bulak, Kurumkansky district. Dugarma became the third child in the family of Lyubov and Dasha Tsyrenov. Many found similarities between Dugarma and the Baikal Theater artist Alisa Tsyrenova. And about Yulia, who was still in her third year at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, did an internship in the village of Maysk, they said that she looked like the children of Lyubov and Dasha Tsyrenov from the village of Bulak.

The mothers of two girls tried to understand whether a substitution could have occurred in the maternity hospital. They found out that Alice gave birth to a girl weighing 3300 grams, and Lyubov - 2900. And the fact that one girl lost several grams upon discharge, and the other, on the contrary, gained, did not bother the women - this is a normal phenomenon for newborns.

Conversations about a possible substitution of children intensified when Dugarma Tsyrenova began working in the cultural sector of the region. She took part in song competitions, became a songwriter on Buryat language and even released a disc.

On December 12, 2016, Alisa Tsyrenova and her daughter Yulia decided to take a responsible step - taking a DNA test in one of medical centers Ulan-Ude. From there, the biological materials of mother and daughter were sent to Moscow. And exactly a month later, on January 12, 2017, a response came from the Center for Molecular Genetics, where it was written in black and white: “Tsyrenova Alisa Ayusheevna is not the biological mother of Tsyrenova Yulia Alekseevna.”

We chose “Let them talk”

The story of child switching interested federal journalists. From the program “Let Them Talk” they called Alisa Tsyrenova. At the same time, they called from the program “Male/Female,” which also airs on Channel One. But two Tsyrenov families chose the program of Andrei Malakhov. Late in the evening of January 26, journalists from Moscow arrived in Ulan-Ude. They say that first they flew to Irkutsk, and from there they took a taxi to the capital of the republic and stayed at the Buryatia hotel. On January 27, they took the same taxi to the village of Bulak, Kurumkansky district, where the spouses Lyubov and Dashi Tsyrenov live. It is not known whether Channel One journalists were able to talk with the medical staff of the Kurumkan Central District Hospital, where the child swap took place 34 years ago. According to unconfirmed reports, the doctors refused to make any comments. That same evening, Moscow journalists, Lyubov and Dugarma, left for Ulan-Ude together.

On January 28, in the morning there was filming with Alisa Tsyrenova, and in the afternoon with the family of her daughter Yulia, who lives in the Shishkovka area.

On January 29, 11 people flew from Ulan-Ude to the Russian capital to film the program “Let Them Talk.” This is Alisa Tsyrenova and her daughter Yulia with their youngest, eight-month-old son. The Kurumkan family was introduced by Lyubov Tsyrenova and her daughters Dugarma and Natalya, who is said to look like Yulia. Alisa’s support group included her friend Larisa Orkhokova, classmate Tsytsygma Angabaeva, with whom Dugarma lived in the village of Mogoito, Kurumkansky district, when she graduated from school, as well as Yulia’s paternal aunt Galina.

And mom was replaced!

During Alisa Tsyrenova’s negotiations with representatives of “Let Them Talk,” it turned out that she herself might have been replaced in the maternity hospital 56 years ago. She herself is from the village of Shamanka, born on December 18, 1960, and Butidma was born on December 17 and grew up in Argada.

As a result, Butidma and her sister Tatyana, as well as Seseg from the Tsyrenov family, where Alisa grew up, took part in the “Let Them Talk” program. In Moscow, they underwent a genetic examination, which showed that Alisa and Tatyana are sisters, and Butidma and Seseg are also blood. This incredible story, which happened to Alisa, who herself was replaced in the maternity hospital 56 years ago, and her daughter 34 years ago, so shocked the team of the “Let Them Talk” program that they decided to devote two programs to her. The first - about the story of Alice and Lyubov and their daughters Yulia and Dugarme - will be shown on Channel One, presumably on February 7, and on February 8 they will talk about the second story.

Non-disclosure agreement

As the site's correspondent learned, Leonid Turbyanov, a deputy of the People's Khural of the Republic of Belarus from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, a former official in the Potapov government, took part in the filming on Channel One as an expert. Participants in the talk show have not yet commented on the details of the filming, arguing that they signed a non-disclosure agreement. One of the participants in the filming, on condition of anonymity, only admitted that it was amazing; those sitting in the audience liked the way the people from Buryatia behaved in the studio. There were no usual hysterics and scandals, which is what many people associate with the “Let Them Talk” program.

She also added that there was a small dispute between Leonid Turbyanov and one of the experts, a Moscow guest. The second did not like the deputy’s opinion that child swapping had happened before and there was nothing wrong with it. We will see what really happened there on February 7 and 8.

Yulia Belyaeva, the mother of one of them, and Naimat Iskanderov, the father of the other, received compensation from the maternity hospital. It seemed that everything was behind us. However, now Julia wants both girls to be with her. Naimat is seeking the same thing. This means that children will face new shocks. Exactly the same story happened 35 years ago in Perm region. However, families there behaved differently. Because it was in their souls more love than anger.

Everyone here has known everything for a long time and believes that things are different normal people and it cannot be, even if this story began completely abnormally.

By malicious intent

The children were replaced in the maternity hospital. This happened in the regional medical unit, in the village of Uinskoye, Perm Region, on August 6, 1976. The boys were born one after another. But it would hardly be possible to confuse them by accident. The nurse deliberately brought the black-haired, dark-skinned baby to the blue-eyed blonde Gala, while his mother was recovering from difficult birth. Two days later, the blond boy born by Galina waited for his first natural feeding, but he was not given the breast. dear mother, and black-eyed Yazilya. Both women gave birth to their first children. We were glad that the children were healthy. We had no complaints about hair or eye color.

What about the nurse? Later, out of drunkenness, she confessed: she had staged a prank, she wanted to see what would happen. By the way, my sister showed up for that duty fairly drunk after someone’s regular name day. The drunkard didn’t have a chance to see “what would happen”: she didn’t live to see the outcome of the events.

When Galina Plotnikova brought her son home, her mother-in-law said abruptly:

- Not our child! We won't be born like that. All the ones I had were white. And this one...

And yet Andreika, growing up, melted his grandmother’s heart. Affectionate, hard-working, agile, he became the most beloved of the grandchildren. Grandmother even remembered: they say that there were brunettes in the Plotnikov family, even if not in a straight line, but it was passed on, apparently, through genes. Biology is a dark science.

The Kalimovs also “guessed” where the blond boy came from: the great-uncle was unmistakably recognizable in the features of the growing Damir - the same gait, the same habits.

... Rumors about hospital crimes spread throughout the area, but the Kalimovs did not take them personally, and the Plotnikovs soon moved to another area...

Yazilya learned the truth when Damir was three years old. How? From whom? She was silent then and doesn’t speak now. I decided this: children should not be traumatized, let the sons grow up first. When they return from the army, they will find out the truth. She didn’t know that Galina was tormented by the same doubts. The boys grew up and became more and more like their fathers. Rumors began to spread again. One day, Galina’s relative came from Uinsky and said: I saw your husband Pavel there, only a young man. How can it be?

- It seemed! - Galina answered, and her heart sank.

In a single family

In the Permian south, Russians, Tatars, Bashkirs, and Maris have lived side by side for more than 500 years. In some Semyonovka, the predominantly Tatar population may have an effect. The Plotnikovs, on the contrary, lived among only Russians in a village with the Turkic name Suda, where everyone called Andrei “Tatar.” The boy was very angry about this. He defended his Russianness with the fervor of Mowgli, who wanted to prove to everyone that he was a real wolf. Time passed, and school nicknames lost their relevance. In 1994, Andrei received a summons to the army. It was not a good year for conscription; the “first Chechen war” began. But Andrei was lucky in the war - he returned alive. Probably because two mothers prayed for him at once.

I'm sitting with the Kalimovs. Papa Mansor is tired of the children’s story, he doesn’t want to talk about it, but Yazil’s mother explains again and again that the boys are lucky: they now have many relatives and many parents...

You're sorry that Andrey didn't receive higher education, you learned Damir at the institute? - I ask.

It's his choice. If he doesn’t want to study, you can’t force him,” Yazilya answers. She and Mansor have no complaints, no comments about how the Plotnikovs raised their son.

Each language has its own designations for the degree of relationship: daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin, matchmakers, godfathers... How the Plotnikovs and Kalimovs are related to each other cannot be said either in Russian or in Tatar: there is no such word. How to determine the existing relationship? Very simply - they are flawless.

15 years later

They end exactly at the moment when families are reunited. Nobody knows how to live further. Now the tears of happiness have dried up, and every day you have to call me mom unknown woman, and my own mother suddenly turns out to be not my own at all... The Perm film studio undertook to film documentary about what happens “later”, timed the expedition to Uinskoye to coincide with the twenty-fifth birthday of Damir and Andrey. According to the scenario, two families gather for a holiday. The heroes of the uninvented plot have already experienced the shock and have found a way to open their inner circle to new parents and numerous new relatives. It was not easy to convince them to talk on camera about their feelings. Galina and Andrey were against it, but Yazilya had the final say. She sensibly decided that it was worth showing people how grief can turn into happiness if there is more love in a person’s soul than anger.

It was easier for Galina and I,” says Yazilya. - We knew for a long time. The news of the substitution shocked the family. It was especially difficult for Andrey. We prepared Damir, and I gradually brought the younger children and sisters up to speed. But Andrei accidentally overheard the conversation and understood. He was in pain.

After the documentary, people stopped gossiping about the Kalimovs and Plotnikovs. Burning interest gave way to deep respect. It seemed that everything was behind us. And thanks to the story of girls from the Chelyabinsk region, the topic became hot again.

They ask why we don’t file a claim for compensation, they say, they sued for three million. And who should we demand from, the district hospital? What you have experienced cannot be repaid with money. And we have nothing to complain about,” says Yazilya.

The Kalimovs and Plotnikovs are now together forever, because there is no way for them to separate either their eldest sons or their grandchildren. The two women understand and support each other from the very day when Yazilya went 80 kilometers to the village where Galina lives, without even knowing the exact address. I just decided it was time. On the way, she got caught in the rain and entered the Plotnikovs’ house wet. Galina looked and understood everything - who she was, why. Without saying a word, they cried, hugged each other, and then looked at a family album with photographs of their son for a long time.

They don't want to talk about it anymore because they've already told everything. They live on. And they are happy.
