The message was dark, militaristic, and delivered during a recent meeting of a certain upper group of super-oligarchs, not the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) or the Trilateral Commission, but perhaps a group like the Pilgrim Society.

However, there is a version that one benevolent group of aliens, known as the tall White Nordics, are trying to warn the elite and superoligarchs that if they do not give up the practice of evil, murder and violence, then they will lose everything they own, since the whole world will be in ruins as a result of nuclear WW3.
There is also a version that the purpose of the warning is to prevent a group of super-elites and aliens Dracos from using the jointly developed high-tech weapons using time warp technology, which poses a threat to the galaxy or beyond.

Last week, a Canonn pilot made the most significant discovery to date: alien ruins. But in the quest to find the meaning of the ruins, there were more questions than answers: they are not like any alien objects already seen in the game. They look somehow different ...
Now the whole Canonn team is just buzzing like a hive. The recent release of Patch 2.2 Guardians has revived their leaders, and "scientists" are trying to predict what will happen next. And if the Thargoids, it is believed, will destroy humanity, how will this very humanity repel attacks? The newly discovered ruins may hold the answer.
Great time for Canonn, yeah. But the discovery of the ruins is the result of a huge, one and a half year effort. For many, hunting aliens in Elite has been a long, exhausting road. There are many stories to tell.
It all started with a post published in April 2015 on the Elite: Dangerous forum. Commander with the nickname Dr Arcanonn read a series of questions and answers with the head of Frontier Developments, David Braben, in which he was asked: will there be hidden things in the game other than unknown space bodies? The answer came: "They already exist."
Excited, Dr Arcanonn commented on the forum that Braben was referring to something completely new, something hidden. Something alien? This very post spawned what is now called the Threadnaught, the largest online discussion with 100,000 posts. Now the ninth thread of Treadnaught is already open, and once it grew so much that it broke the Frontier site.
Dr Arcanonn realized that there were several other players, like-minded people, potential Elite: Dangerous players interested in solving riddles. This is how the Canonn was born.
The Canonn, formed on behalf of Dr Arcanonn, is now home to 1,543 pilots registered on their website and over 2,000 players have posted to Threadnaught. The Canonn site is 100% playing the role of a scientific organization, “House of Science in this Universe”. Canonn was founded in April 3301, according to the website. The headquarters is located at Thompson Dock, Varati system.
This is where thousands of pilots work together - and sometimes alone - to test theories, get stuck in dead ends, and investigate mysterious things. And while Canonn looks (at least outwardly) a serious organization thanks to the advice - a group of 10 reliable players personally selected by Dr Arcanonn himself to manage all this chaos.
“Our focus and attentiveness can be attributed to the cookie and whiskey diet and our tendency to wear foil hats.” - can be read on their website. “We take our research seriously, but we don't bury ourselves under tons of chalk records.”
Canonn's real work began with the discovery of the deceptive "Unknown Artefacts". It was this discovery, which happened just months after Dr Arcanonn's first post, that marked Canonn on the galaxy map.
Commander Red Wizzard, advisor to Cannon and so-called "Chronicler", was the first in the threadnaught to recover the Unknown Artifact.
At the time, UAs (Unknown Artifacts) had to be mined from heavily defended convoys that still needed to be found. Red Wizzard not only found one of them, but was able to damage the defending T-9 enough to drop the Artifact. Under heavy fire, Red Wizzard was able to place the UA in the cargo bay and fly away in his Python with only 30% durability.
“About 30 pilots from the forum thread got together to take a look at the find. It was something special that night, ”Red Wizzard said in an interview. “This is the first time I've seen so many players in one place.”

Back in July 2016, the Eurogamer website wrote about the opening of Cannon's mysterious lighthouses. When scanned, they emitted an electromagnetic discharge that temporarily overloaded the ship. On Tuesday October 25th, Frontier released patch 2.2 for Elite and posted a trailer showing the ruins in a glimpse. (at 1:23 minute)
And for one Canonn pilot, xDeath, it didn't take long to find their whereabouts. By triangulating the planet based on several frames of the starry sky and nebula from the trailer, xDeath figured out which system should be sent to. He sat in his Cobra, painted the colors of the Canadian flag.
More specifically, xDeath did this: he triangulated the position of the system according to Andromeda, the Pleiades nebula, the stars Alpha Dove and the Star of Adeline (Epsilon Columbae), since they could be distinguished in the trailer.
Then he found the planet from the craters of the moon of the desired planet.
And then he simply chose the most interesting location from his point of view while gliding above the surface.

XDeath made a post about his discovery on Reddit and of course the Canonn site, which shocked the community a lot. It took him less than 24 hours to find the ruins. Obviously, the Frontiers intended to solve the riddle for much longer.
In just one night, xDeath became one of the most famous Elite Dangerous pilots in the world. Solving the ruins was his first significant contribution to the Canonn cause.
“It was an incredible experience,” he told Eurogamer. "My hands were shaking as I brought the ship to the surface."

Of course, he is a huge fan of science fiction, especially Star Trek, so he loved Canonn's intentions to explore new worlds and seek life in them.
Dr Arcanonn also has no scientific degrees, but he is a fan of space exploration.
As for Red Wizzard, who made Canonn's major discovery, he is a New Zealand-based software developer with a master's degree in computer science and mathematics. “So I don’t have a real scientific background (well, perhaps physics and chemistry in my first year at university),” he says. “It's just that I've always been interested in science. I also have an analytical mind and a craving for riddles, which of course helped me. "

Who knows what you need next time? Now the hunt has shifted its priorities towards analyzing the ruins themselves. The location found by xDeath above may vaguely resemble something. Maybe a star map? They are trying to adhere to such a theory now.

And then there are the towers. xDeath found out that some of the ancient pillars can be shot at and then they will fall. And inside you can find different things: a plateau, a totem, an urn, a box and a sphere. Particularly noteworthy is the sphere - it is called the D20, because it really looks like a twenty-sided bone.
Further - more: players have found a strange relic inside the ancient obelisk. In fact, the relic is a crystal with pulsating in it, as the game calls it "ethereal form of energy." And nobody knows what that means. For now.
Canonn has tried to bring these objects to a wide variety of locations throughout the universe, would it work? Nothing. But there is one assumption: the ruins do not belong to the Thargoids, but to another alien race.
The proof is as follows. The objects found are basically mechanical. All other items found are mostly organic. Plus, when players scan the glowing obelisks, they find data related to Engineers. Now the Engineers are already in the game, but none of the mysterious objects interact with them. Therefore, Canonn believes that new Engineers will be able to find a use for these things, they will be able to improve the ships of the players in order to protect themselves from ... Right, the Thargoids.
“Everyone thinks that the name of the Guardians patch refers to the introduced carrier-based fighters,” says Dr Arcanonn. - We never thought so. In our opinion, the name refers to the ancients - a possibly extinct alien race known as the Guardians. As we now think, we have found their ancient burial. It is still active, which means it still retains power, even though it is just a ruin. "
The fantasy universe of Elite Dangerous consists of warring parties. Humanity is, in fact, at war. But Canonn deliberately remains an independent organization, and therefore it consists of pilots who are currently in a state of conflict, but have temporarily postponed it for a good purpose. This can be the deciding factor.
“We have always suspected that something nasty was moving towards us from unknown space. And of course it is fraught with great danger, ”says Dr Arcanonn. “We are trying to unite all of humanity against the impending danger. It is now becoming clear that there really is a danger and we are not crazy. We are reasonably sure that the Thargoids will come to us, and we are sure that it will not end well for us, because the players decide what happens when they meet them. Players will shoot Thargoids. This is quite obvious. When we discovered the ruins, a lot of pilots just flew in and started shooting at everything. ”
“All decisions affect the Elite universe. And some are anarchic. So a war with the Thargoids is inevitable. It will be terrible. We think Guardian technology will be the key to defeating the Thargoids. Something we have already found, these are things in the ruins, suitable for engineers. The scan data from there says in its description that it is a component for engineers. ”
