In the old days, people were sent to this part of Russia by a court verdict for grave crimes, but we, the participants of the next stage of the "Hunting Expeditions", were not forcibly exiled, we ourselves came. And all because when we visited this region once, they fell ill with it, just as climbers get sick with mountains, and now we were drawn to the Tyumen region again and again. This time the plans were to hunt ungulates. Alexey Okhrimenko met the expedition team, he introduced us to Andrey Borodulin - a real hunting enthusiast, and besides, the owner of a whole family of West Siberian huskies. There are thirty-seven dogs in his kennel. We stopped at Andrey's base. From her they made forays into the lands. The weather was great. Frost minus fifteen, sun, and snow cover, which makes it more or less comfortable to navigate through the forest without skis. At first they started hunting for Siberian roe deer. Likes helped us in the hunt. There is enough game in this region, so the very first letting of dogs into the forest was effective. Three goats jumped out to the edge of the forest. The first trophy was taken with two shots. A short break, and again they launched the dogs into the forest island. Laikas gave their votes almost five minutes later, and roe deer came out on one more shooter. An accurate shot at a short distance from a smooth-bore gun allowed us to congratulate each other "With the field!" Trophies were taken out to escort vehicles on sledges attached to the Taiga Patrol 550 SWT snowmobile. By the way, the Buran snowmobile, which is probably known to all hunters and fishermen, and the aforementioned Patrol, produced by Russian Mechanics JSC, greatly facilitated our life. The super utilitarian "Buran 4T", equipped with a four-stroke eco-friendly engine and, as if created for hunting, the "Taiga Patrol" with a wide 600 mm track and sled, worked to the fullest. They laid a snowmobile trail, the so-called "buranka", transported trophies, served as transport for scouts and pathfinders.
The next day was devoted to hunting wild boars. Several times we heard the voices of dogs, but for a long time they could not stop the beast and give the shooter an opportunity to approach the beast for a shot. And finally it happened. Two huskies "whirled" a rather large boar. Long aiming, since there was a real probability of accidentally shooting a dog, a shot, and ... they took a wild boar. And yet, on this day, the husky drove a marten onto the tree. It happens the same. After all, they did not deal specifically with the fur-bearing animal, but since it happened, they also got a marten. Activities for the removal of the wild boar to the all-terrain vehicles, the processing of the trophy "ate" the daylight hours that remained until the end of the day. We returned to the base at dusk.
The morning found us already in the grounds. We have set ourselves such a task to get a moose. The whole day passed in fruitless attempts to approach the elk. The dogs kept the beast, but as soon as the shooter approached the scene, the elk began to leave. No luck. Everyone was exhausted, making endless trekking through the dense forest. By the end of the day, one of the hunters was lucky. He adjusted to the voices of the huskies, and saw a young "bull" detached from the group of elks. Such a chance could not be missed. The shot was accurate. In the evening, by the fire, we recalled the events that had passed unnoticed during these days. And in the morning the road home was waiting for us. We arrived in Western Siberia by car, so that on the way back we had to cross the Ural ridge again and, as if by chance, move from Asia to Europe.
