After you have configured all the settings, click the “Save” button. The “Products” section will appear on the main page of the site.

After all settings have been selected and saved, a window will appear to load products.

How to add products to a group in contact - instructions

In order to add a product, click on the “Add Product” button or the “Products” tab itself. A page for adding a product will open.

After that, proceed to creating products:

  1. Enter a name;
  2. Product description;
  3. Upload a photo

Image formats: JPG, GIF, PNG

Image dimensions: more than 400 and less than 7000 pixels for each side.

Shape: square

  • 4. If the product is available in several colors, add additional photos (but no more than 4);
  • 5. Specify the category of goods;
  • 6. Indicate the cost of the goods;
  • 7. Click “create product”.

The main page of your group displays the latest uploaded photos (3 pieces). Try to load items that need to be highlighted last.

This is how easy it is to create a product card. The image can be enlarged by hovering the cursor over it. If necessary, created products can be edited using the new “Actions” menu item.

The good news is that VKontakte has no restrictions on the number of uploaded products. But you shouldn’t upload huge catalogs - this will only scare visitors and complicate their choice. We looked at how to add products to a group in a contact, but you can also create collections of products.

How to create a selection of products

In addition, you can create collections of products in a group (community). To do this, go to the “Collections” tab and click on the “Create collection” button.

Come up with a name for the created collection and add a cover image. Why create a collection at all? To highlight:

  • New items;
  • Product of the day;
  • Discounted goods;
  • Product on sale.

What is especially relevant is that users can easily set the filter by clicking on the “Options” button. If the user clicks on the “Contact seller” button, a window will open in front of him for writing a message to the seller who was listed in contacts.

In this lesson I’ll tell you about such a trick as VKontakte products, with the help of which you can open an online store in the community. This opportunity is provided for all groups and public pages that engage in trading using the social network. You can connect to the service regardless of the number of participants, and only managers can place products in the new section.

  • Contact- this is the user’s personal page through which you will accept orders. The page must be among the community leaders in order to be selected from the drop-down list;
  • Store Description- a wiki page with a detailed description of your store, terms of payment and delivery, as well as other important information. This link will be automatically attached to each of the products.

After you have saved all the changes you have made, a special block with products appears on the main page of the community.

By clicking on the "Products" heading or the "Show all products" link, you can open the full list of products. Here in the upper right corner there is a special link “Add product”, through which you can add a new offer to your store.

  • Title and description. The search will take both of these fields into account;
  • Main photo and up to 4 additional ones. When uploading your main photo, you will need to provide a square thumbnail. Uploaded photographs must have no less than 400 and no more than 7000 points on each side, and you cannot use photos in which one side is several times larger than the other;
  • Category- you must specify one of the product categories from the list. This is necessary to place your proposals in the unified VKontakte catalog;
  • Selection- with this option you can sort all products more accurately. This field appears only when creating the collection itself, which we will talk about below;
  • Price- indicate the price;
  • Product not available- with this checkmark you can show that it is currently out of stock. In this case, it is placed in a special tab “Unavailable Products”.

Finally, click the “Create Product” button.

Now let's look at the "Product Collections" section. Using this option, you can independently clarify the product category within the community and group similar ones accordingly. To create a collection, go to the "Collections" tab and in the upper right corner click on the "Create collection" link.

In a new window you will need to specify the name of the collection and upload its cover. Also, here you can make it the main selection of the community and it will always be displayed first in the list.

There are 3 ways to add a new product to the selection. You can specify it when creating, when editing it, and also from the collection page. It can be indicated in the new “Selection” list that appears, which I wrote about earlier. Thus, when editing, you can move products from one category to another; unfortunately, they can only be in one selection at a time.

After creating a collection, you can of course edit or delete it. You can do this inside a collection.

You also have the ability to edit individual products. To do this, hover your mouse over the image of the proposal and click on the pencil icon that appears. You can change any data.

You can also search in the "Products" section. When you click on the "Options" link, you will be able to specify a price range, as well as sort by date added or price.

For the convenience of the owner, a link to the product about which they are writing will automatically be attached to such a message.

Also, you can temporarily disable the "Products" service in the community settings. All settings and product cards will not be deleted, but will simply cease to be displayed.

If the user opens any of the offers via a direct link, it will be indicated that it is temporarily unavailable. It will also be impossible to contact the seller. You can return everything back at any time by enabling them in the community settings.

  • select the currency of your store;
  • be sure to add a contact person with whom buyers can contact;
  • add information about you and your store.

Among these columns, only the contact person is required information; the rest can be filled out as desired.

Adding products to the community

Log in to your group. Under the community description (or under the pinned wall post if you have one), you will see a bag symbol prompting you to add an item. Open this link.

A new product profile has opened in front of you, which includes important information about what you are selling:

  • The name of the product you offer to customers. The name cannot be too short and must contain at least 4 characters.
  • A short description that must contain at least 6 characters.
  • The main photo you must upload from your computer in PNG, GIF or JPG format.
  • Additional photos that you can add if it seems that the main photo does not fully display the trade product. Here you can add up to four frames.
  • The category you categorize this product into. The bulk of the categories involve physical goods, be it transport, children's clothing or a summer cottage.   • The price you would like to receive for your product.
  • If your product periodically runs low and is out of stock, you can not delete it, but check the box next to the item that indicates that the product is unavailable.

To continue adding new products, you should go to the service section and click the “Add product” button. If you have a lot of products, you can create collections that will combine similar products. You can give the collection a name and even attach a cover that will make it easy to distinguish it from the rest.

Editing and deleting products in the community

It is possible that you will want to change the description of the product, for example, its price. To do this you should:

  • On the main page of the community, go to the Products section.
  • A page has opened in front of you with all the trade items that you offer. Select the product you want to edit. Point the arrow at his photo. A pencil symbol will appear in the upper right corner, click on it.
  • Now the product form that you filled out earlier has opened. You should find the required element and edit it. After everything, you need to click on the “Save Product” button.
  • To remove a product from your group, you should go to the product editing form and click on the “Delete” button, which can be found in the lower left corner of the form.

In order to set up a storefront on VKontakte, first click on the Community Management link, which is located immediately below the avatar on the right.

We get to the Information tab, where at the very bottom we look for the Products item. By default they are disabled. Click on the word Disabled and change it to Enabled.

After this, a block of information will appear on the items. We fill in each item accordingly: delivery region, city, comments on products, store currency, then select a contact for communication from the proposed list and click on Edit in the Store Description item.

Fill in the section Name of the collection. Then we upload a photo or image that will be the splash cover of our selection. The dimensions of the cover image must be at least 580x320. Click the checkbox if this will be the main selection of a group or page.

By clicking on the Create button, we find ourselves on the tab of the collection we created. Now we can fill it with goods. Click Add product.

Next, enter the Name, Description and upload a photo of the product. The photo must have a minimum of 400 pixels and a maximum of 7000 pixels on one side.

Select the visible area for the photo thumbnail. Click Save changes.

VKontakte provides the opportunity to upload 4 more photos for the product. If there is such a need, then we download them. We also select the Product Category. By the way, there is a Services item there. Then we determine which selection the product will belong to and then set the price of the product.

Accordingly, our three products also appeared on the main page in the Products block. The first item on the left is always the last loaded product and then in descending order.

If you click on any product, we go to the product card, which looks like this: the name of the product, its description, uploaded photos of the product, price. If you click on the Payment and Delivery Terms link, a dialog box will open with the information from Step 4.
