I most likely wouldn’t even know about it until they showed it to me. You see, I spend very little time on the Internet. In general, there is at least one: sad Keanu. By the way, I like him, he’s funny.
You just turned 50. What has changed in your perception of life over the past 10-15 years?
I started thinking about death more often, that's for sure. Death, first of all, sucks. Secondly, I understand that there is no way to prepare for it. That's all my thoughts about death.

Oh, I just finished filming Eli Roth's Knock Knock and Courtney Hunt's excellent drama The Truth.
There’s no need to talk about the drama, but tell us more about “Knock, Knock.” Sounds like a horror movie.
Yes, the beginning is scary: I play the father of a family who is left alone at home on the weekends. At some point, two teenage girls, 16 and 17 years old, knock on his door, asking to spend the night - they say it’s raining heavily outside and in general. Quite quickly they seduce him, and in the morning they refuse to leave and begin to blackmail him with what he has done. But this is still not horror in the literal, graphic sense of the word - rather, an emotional thriller. And not torture porn. It's even funny in places.
In case you haven’t seen the “Sad Keanu Reeves” meme, let’s explain: the paparazzi took a photo with Reeves, which led to spontaneous hype around the actor. There have been various forums in support of the We Love Reeves actor, cutouts, photoshopped collages, and other stupid memes on the internet (especially on Reddit).
So why is Keanu sad?
Well, first of all, I'm not sure he's really sad: oh my god, the man is just looking at the sandwich he's eating. The actor might look a little upset, but maybe he just didn't like the taste of the sandwich, or maybe he just wants to eat in peace without all those damn paparazzi spying on him all the time. Who knows, it could be anything. I wonder what the actor thinks about all the hype around him on the Internet that recently arose from a stupid photo. Reeves is usually quite private and avoids public attention.
Despite his professional success, the actor has many reasons to be sad. The guy had an unstable childhood: his father was jailed for selling heroin, and his mother constantly traveled the world, getting married and divorced every five minutes. Despite this, Reeves managed to build strong family relationships with his sisters.
Suffering from dyslexia, Keanu did not particularly enjoy his studies at school and did not stand out at the academy. However, Reeves was making progress in hockey, but the injury he received destroyed all his dreams of a professional hockey career. There were also tragedies in the actor's life: his beloved sister was diagnosed with leukemia, his best friend died of an overdose, another friend crashed in a car just when his child was born. All this is hard to bear! Most of us would have a hard time reconciling even half of what I've listed.
The only good thing about all these stories is that people, based on their own experience, were able to understand what a good, caring and down-to-earth guy he is. Obviously, the actor is a real pleasure to deal with and is a very generous person, both in terms of money and kind deeds. I think this attitude is commendable in a world where everything revolves around status, the money you make and the position you occupy on the social ladder.
People often say that Keanu is a stupid actor with no talent. But all this is nonsense: how then do you explain not only his long successful career, but also the many good films in which he starred? Keanu is a good actor and a smart person who knows how to choose the right films and people to work with. I personally think that people are just jealous of him and perhaps confused by his careless attitude towards Hollywood and fame, as well as his antipathy towards the public, without whose attention other actors simply cannot exist.
