Already during his lifetime, Nikolai Ugodnik was endowed with the gift of working miracles. Saint Nicholas was born into a deeply religious family. His parents Feofan and Nonna could not conceive a child for a long time; they prayed earnestly and promised the Almighty to dedicate their future child to the Church of Christ.
