If you suddenly find yourself diving into an elephant - for example, because you ejected from a car, jumped off a cliff or from a roof - then in Far Cry 4 you basically have only two alternatives. Of course, Far Cry 4 retains the gameplay features already familiar from the series. Throwing knives, crossbows, and silenced weapons are great for stealth, and there's still a lot of fun in sneaking out of sight of enemies before sneaking up on them and quietly finishing them off. More aggressive methods, such as air attacks from a two-seater helicopter or “signature” arson, are also not bad, but pale in comparison with the tactical advantages that cooperation with animals provides.
By the way, if there are no elephants nearby, then you can lure someone else. For example, jungle cats are very fond of meat and love to tear into pieces anyone who prevents them from getting to this meat. Throw some fresh meat on the ground (which you will get by hunting various animals), find some shelter, and let nature take its course.

Throwable and silent
Speaking about Far Cry 4 weapons, we cannot ignore the wonderful set of throwing and other silent special weapons that the developers gave to the players.
Perhaps we should start with bows. There are two of them in the game - a classic hunting one and a modern composite one. The first one will be useful to you at the very beginning of the game: you simply cannot find a better means for silently exterminating enemies. But, unfortunately, you cannot install various modules on it. But you can paint it. Later it will become available to you. It can also be painted, but this is not the main charm: you can put a sight on it - either a simple collimator or a hunting optical one. They are not very different in appearance, but the second one has special marks that show the fall of the arrow at different distances, thanks to which it can be used to shoot accurately even at long distances. In addition to standard arrows, you can also use exploding and setting the target on fire - they allow you to end many conflicts with literally one shot, even if there is a whole platoon of thugs against you.
In Far Cry 4, weapons can be placed in four main slots - one is reserved for pistols, the other three can be used as you please. However, in addition to this, you can try throwing knives from the silent arsenal - they are available in the same additional slot where grenades, baits and Molotov cocktails are located. You can select them by scrolling the mouse wheel.
Now it’s time to move on to the “mechanics” - hands, of course, are more reliable, but the logical continuation of the bow is a crossbow, it shoots much faster. Its advantages don't end there: you can shoot it while controlling a glider, gyrocopter and parachute (or other vehicle) - it takes up a pistol slot, and therefore fires with one hand.
There is also a weapon for hunters in Far Cry 4 - a harpoon. It shoots very slowly, so it is completely unsuitable for battles. But hunting with him, including demon fish, is a pleasure.
Almost silent and firearms
And finally, nothing prevents you from attaching a silencer to almost any type of weapon and pouring lead on your enemies with it. This module looks especially interesting on sniper rifles - silently shooting enemies at a checkpoint from some hill is quite fun (especially if you watch through the scope as they unsuccessfully try to find the shooter).
But if you didn’t find anything suitable among the standard weapons, try looking at the “Unique” tab. For example, you cannot install a suppressor on a standard AK, but the Warrior from this category comes with one right away! All you need to do is intercept two trucks with supplies for King Ming and you can buy this unique weapon for about 200 thousand units of local currency.
Don't like rifles? Good, because you have a flamethrower! It is not completely silent (the dying screams of your victims, alas, are unmasked), but that makes it no less effective.
Classic - loud, fun, fast
Well, how can we, when discussing Far Cry 4 weapons, not mention those that have been moving from game series to series for decades? Legendary (again called 47), PKM, SPAS-12, SVD, MP5 and the classic Winchester - you can be sure that it’s all here. With the help of these “old men” you can quickly create a real commotion in the enemy’s camp. Most likely, however, before dying, your enemies will have time to call for reinforcements, so always keep in mind an escape plan, or better yet two.
But this is not all the variety of firearms in Far Cry 4. The weapons of Kirat are FAMAS (appearing under the name F1), Russian M133, HK416, German MG42 machine gun, several powerful sniper rifles, our Bison SMG (named BZ19) and much more many equally interesting weapons. By the way, don’t forget about pistols - their variety is also impressive.

Even faster, even louder, with taste and explosions
Indeed, the weapons in Far Cry 4 do not show anything surprising. But all this happened somewhere before. But no one has been able to combine this on such a scale before - now it’s time to present to your attention the entire arsenal of explosives that the player has at his disposal.
By the way, have you already tried riding an elephant? If not, hurry up. Because he can not only effectively trample enemies, but also, in symbiosis with your character, turns into a real tank! You just need to pick up the M79 grenade launcher and no one will stop you. This crazy bunch is capable of crushing mountains (don't take this too literally, it means that you can cope with any number of enemies; your character is not paid to change the landscape of Kyrat)!
Or try to lay mines and C4 on the road along which the enemy will advance. This can especially help where you won't be able to shoot, for example, when you have to go underwater or climb a cable. But that’s not all, because Far Cry 4 has weapons for every taste.
Problems with Pagan Min's helicopter and other enemy equipment can be solved with a whole set of more conventional grenade launchers - RPG-7, GM-94, LK-1018 (with guided projectiles!) or with real hand-held artillery - the Chinese RG-A87 grenade launcher.
Even during the game, you will probably not be lucky enough to come under mortar fire. It kills both you and your opponents almost instantly. Do you want to use it for your own purposes? Well, mortars are usually found at bases and outposts. They are marked on the map with a special icon. Sit down, aim, shoot and fight off the attacks of hordes of enemies without exposing yourself and your allies to fire!
