On November 11, that is, almost immediately after the results of the presidential race were announced, the TV presenter of the popular American show The View, comedian Rosie O’Donnell posted on her Twitter a link to a video and a question: is the president’s son autistic? In fact, O'Donnell's message was a retweet - she was replicating a video that blogger James Hunter had posted on YouTube a little earlier. It was an edited selection of “strange” and “unusual” (such as a closed facial expression and uncoordinated movements of the arms and/or legs) moments of Barron Trump’s behavior, supported by statements about him by his father and mother, which were taken from interviews at different periods of the family’s life. The video promoted the author's assumption that Donald Trump's youngest son is autistic. Melania, taking control of the situation, ensured that the video was removed from the portal. The development of this episode was not particularly successful: firstly, all Americans are aware that O’Donnell quarreled with Trump ten years ago, and secondly, since one of her own daughters has autism, why shouldn’t Rosie do it? A short time after the recording, the account was blocked, after which only one entry remained, saying that Katie Rich “sincerely regrets the thoughtless and hurtful words” (it later became known that the apology did not help ─ NBC terminated her contract).

A little earlier, the media did not fail to note Barron’s absence from the Trump family at the pre-inauguration concert. The parents did not explain why their son was not with them, saying only that he was at home. But Sasha Obama, for example, was not at the event on January 10, when her father gave his farewell speech as President of the United States! In general, it is difficult to imagine how many rumors and gossip will be generated by the absence of Barron Trump in the White House, even if temporary.
Barron, 10, is in school, so he and Melania will continue to live in New York in a luxurious penthouse on the 66th floor of Trump Tower at least until the end of the current school year.
