USSR

Sometimes the titles of Honored Coach of the USSR (1956), Honorary Sports Judge (1972), and All-Union Judge (1934) are considered sports titles. In the 60s last century, the title of Honorary Master of Sports of the USSR was awarded for annually fulfilling the standard of the Master of Sports of the USSR for 5 years.

The lowest sports rank was an athlete of the third category in the main sports. Sometimes the so-called “youth categories”, even lower.

Against the backdrop of chess successes, IV and V chess categories were introduced in the USSR. The latter was eventually canceled. To obtain IV rank (and previously V), it was enough to gather a group of beginners of at least 11 people and score half the points in a round-robin tournament.

In addition, there was a system of youth sports titles, for persons under 18 years of age - I and II youth categories. There were no junior levels for chess.

In the republics of the USSR there was a system of sports titles similar to the system of all-Union titles. After the collapse of the country, titles of this kind were established in many newly formed countries.

For sports cultivated among the disabled, athletes are awarded the sports titles “Master of Sports of Russia among the Disabled” (MS) and “Master of Sports of Russia of International Class among the Disabled” (MSMC).

Any sport requires complete dedication from the athlete. Often the pursuit of titles results in various injuries, and only great desire, faith and perseverance force a person to rise again and return to his favorite professional activity. Athletes cannot lack perseverance; they must learn to show it from an early age in sports, when the first significant step is obtaining the title of Master of Masters. We'll look at how to get it below.

Any athlete over the age of 13 has the right to receive CMC. To do this, you will have to work hard and take certain places in competitions or win a set number of victories. Places for obtaining the CCM are established depending on the level of competition. So, those who at the Russian Championships took third and fourth places in the team championship and doubles, and from fifth to eighth places among singles will be able to receive the CCM. At the Russian Championship, you need to take third to sixth place in the team championship, fifth or sixth place in doubles, and thirteenth to twentieth place in singles. And at the Russian Cup we will have to compete for places from third to eighth. In all cases, the number of victories must be 12. It is worth noting that depending on the sport, the age for awarding the title and the requirements for places received in competitions may vary. Refer to the Unified All-Russian Sports Classification for more detailed information. For those who are going to compete at the European Championship, in order to receive the CCM, you need to take 3-4 places in the team championship and doubles, for single athletes - 5 and 8 places. To get CMC in team competitions, you will have to play at least half of the games. As for the rule of 12 victories to obtain the title of Master of Masters, all defeated opponents must also have this title. A victory won over an athlete with a sports title is equal to two. And if you defeat the same athlete several times, count these victories as one. Start counting your sports year from the date of your first victory. When awarding the title of candidate master of sports, the judging panel must include at least one judge of the republican category. It is not enough to receive a CMS; in the future you will have to confirm your rank. To do this, you need to defeat 3 athletes of your category or 6 athletes of a lower category in a year. In order to confidently reach the top in your sports career in the future, it is important to start training according to your profile as early as possible. The coach is of great importance: not only does he bear a good half of the responsibility for the athlete’s achievements, some coaches have such a psychological influence that they can completely discourage the desire to engage in sports in the future. Inattention or excessive pressure from a coach can lead to any consequences, even injuries. A beginning athlete needs to remember: a good coach is the key to success. If you are determined to connect your destiny with sports, choose a sports school or university with a physical education focus for further education. You will be able to train constantly. Take part in competitions between universities and city competitions - you will have the opportunity to get an adult level and then move on to the next level. Next, you will go to regional competitions, and this is the right path to getting CCM.

Now you know how to get CMS. The path of an athlete is not easy and often thorny, so before you connect your life with professional sports, carefully plan it ahead. Receiving, or at least plans to obtain, additional higher or secondary vocational education will be very helpful. And then boldly move forward towards your goal. Good luck and big victories!

About why we need to monitor the receipt and assignment of sports categories and titles, we will try to decipher official documents and tell the sequence of actions for assigning YOUTH RANKS.

Let us say right away that youth categories are assigned mainly in the categories Children-1 and Children-2.

Senior athletes have the opportunity to immediately perform the adult level. So.

YOUNG ATHLETE

Everything seems to be simple here. The task of young talents is to train hard, listen to the teacher and try their best to show their best skills in the competition.

PARENT

You must understand that even if your couple dances in SMM and they do not have a class, they have the right to participate in official competitions in open groups and assign ranks. To be awarded the 3rd youth category, it is enough to learn basic variations in dances 6,8,10 according to your age and perform at the Municipal Championship.
- At the same time, you must realize that the result will most likely not be high. But it will be enough to assign children the first category in their lives.

Approach your responsible coach and say that you would like your children to start receiving ranks. The coach will discuss this with the leader, say what (how many dances) and at what level your children need to perform, according to the age of the couple, say where the next competition will be held and outline a preparation plan.

In addition to completing the preparation plan, you need to prepare and submit a package of documents to the manager at least a week before the competition (see below).

In the Russian Federation, confirmation and assignment of sports categories and titles is determined by a document called the Unified All-Russian Sports Classification (UESC). It indicates the standards in each sport that must be fulfilled in order to receive a certain category and title.

APPLICATION FOR AWARD OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT.

Sports categories “first youth sports category”, “second youth sports category”, “third youth sports category” are assigned for a period of 2 years by physical education and sports organizations, organizations providing sports training or educational organizations, according to the REPRESENTATION for the assignment of a sports category, signed by the coach -teacher (including senior), teacher of additional education (including senior), head of physical education, coach, or at the request of the athlete or his legal representative, at the athlete’s place of residence or at the location of the physical culture and sports organization, organization providing sports training or educational organizations.

Package of documents:

2 photos 3*4 passport type

A copy of the birth certificate + F-9 or a copy of the passport (page with photo and registration).

A copy of the certificate from the sports dispensary about admission to sports competitions (you must have the original with you at each competition)

A copy of the insurance (you must have the original with you at each competition)

Give the package of documents to the coach.

We remind you that to participate in sports competitions, you must have an original insurance policy and a certificate from a sports dispensary.

TO THE MANAGER/TRAINER.

The athlete’s record book must be registered with the organization where he received this document, i.e. in the Federation. At the end of the competition, it is necessary to ensure that the protocols reach the Federation Presidium. Within 2 weeks, you can send an APPLICATION for assignment of ranks to the Presidium of your Federation, along with a package of documents (see above), in electronic form.

We will talk about assigning adult ranks and CMS in the next article.

CCM, sports, fame... Serious participation in various sports is a great path of achievement and discovery. Every athlete dreams of taking first place in championships and competitions. Well, it is not an easy path, but hard work will definitely lead to success. Perseverance is one of the most important qualities of an athlete; a tempered character from an early age will bring you closer to achieving high levels and awards in the future. KMS - which means the title is officially assigned, in this field of sport for a person worthy of it, is very likely.

How to get CMS

The sports path begins from childhood, with the first training, competitions and first small victories. A sufficient number of victories and taking certain places, as well as a certain level of competition, gives the right to obtain the CCM from the age of 13-15. Summing up all the victories at the Russian championships, the number of victories should be 12. Master of Masters is a serious achievement, you can go to this for quite a long time. Pay attention to the type of sport, age - requirements regarding occupied places may change. The unified all-Russian classification contains all the necessary and relevant information.

European Championship

Those who want to compete at the European Championships should know that the rules are slightly different there. So, in the team championship and doubles you need to take 3-4th place, for single athletes 5-8th place is enough. You must complete half of the games in the team competition. The 12 win requirement remains the same. A victory over an opponent who has a sports title is equal to 2. A victory over the same athlete is considered only one victory.

Building a Perspective

CCM is an achievement not only of the athlete, but also of the person who worked with him. In sports, credit must be given to the coach. The main merit of the coach is that he directs all resources in the right direction. Using teaching experience and knowledge in the field of psychology, he stimulates work. The attentiveness and necessary pressure of the coach will help the student achieve the desired goal and success. Further achievement of peaks in sports will continue if you improve and practice according to your profile.

University with a focus on physical education

If you have the desire and intention to acquire knowledge and skills, it is better to immediately choose a sports school, and then a university. This will give you the opportunity to train constantly. Take part in competitions between universities, and perhaps you will receive an adult rank, which will ensure progression to the next level. And these are new opportunities, and receiving the title of Master of Masters is not far off.

General standards and requirements

How to get CMS? What standards and requirements must be met? Let's try to answer these questions.

  • First of all, in every sport there must be an achievement at which it is permissible to be awarded the title of Master of Masters.
  • The title of candidate master of sports is awarded by a panel of judges, which includes 3 judges of the republican category and 1 judge of the international category. The applicant is first required to confirm his rank, that is, to defeat single-rank athletes and those of a lower rank.
  • In addition, it is necessary to fulfill the rank requirements of the CCM for a particular sport, including those approved by the presidium based on the current year’s program. Each sport has a table of standards, the fulfillment of which requires the assignment of a particular title. The table is clearly broken down by gender and age. Indicators higher than those specified in the norm tables are categorically unacceptable.
  • The accuracy of compliance with standards is assessed by an automatic measuring system. Many sports use a video system. With its help, video recording of compliance with standards is made. This is very convenient, since video materials can be stored for quite a long time.
