USSR
Sometimes the titles of Honored Coach of the USSR (1956), Honorary Sports Judge (1972), and All-Union Judge (1934) are considered sports titles. In the 60s last century, the title of Honorary Master of Sports of the USSR was awarded for annually fulfilling the standard of the Master of Sports of the USSR for 5 years.
The lowest sports rank was an athlete of the third category in the main sports. Sometimes the so-called “youth categories”, even lower.

- First of all, in every sport there must be an achievement at which it is permissible to be awarded the title of Master of Masters.
