Funeral of Oleg Yakovlev. How Moscow said goodbye to Ivanushka - Oleg Yakovlev

MOSCOW, July 1 - RIA Novosti - . An artist with a capital A, a man of bright soul and incredible creative energy, Oleg Yakovlev died on June 29 at the age of 48. Close people and colleagues said goodbye to the performer on Saturday.

The funeral of Oleg Yakovlev - a mourning ceremony - took place at the Troekurovsky cemetery: an impressive line of those who came to say goodbye to the talented artist lined up near the Necropolis of the Troekurovsky cemetery.

People carried flowers, wiped away tears, stopping near the coffin. Each of them had something to remember about Oleg Yakovlev, a bright man who made people fall in love at first sight.

The real "Ivanushka"

The ceremony was attended by members of the Ivanushki International team Kirill Andreev and Andrey Grigoriev-Appolonov, who spent about 15 years shoulder to shoulder with Oleg Yakovlev.

“Olezhka and I have gone through a very difficult, but interesting creative and life path, a path that brings us closer together. Although you understand perfectly well that the team is a family where there are quarrels and resentments. When Olezhka left (started a solo career), I was happy for him that everything is working out for him. Like a bolt from the blue, I found out that he is in the hospital. Olezhka, I love you, the kingdom of heaven to you," Kirill Andreev was the first to speak.
His words were picked up by Andrei Grigoriev-Appolonov, who could not contain his emotions. His speech was often interrupted by tears. He spoke about the difficult creative path of Oleg Yakovlev, who always strived with his soul for art, and shared with those present his memories of his colleague, confusing but touching.

“There are more than 90% of people here who don’t know Oleg as a boy from Ulaanbaatar. He told me that when he was six years old, he and his younger sister wanted to run away to Moscow from a village with yurts. And they really left on foot along the rails; they were found two days later and returned. Several people probably know him as a student of the puppet theater. He lived then in crappy conditions, to be honest. But his soul was bright, he strove for art, for the theater. Soul, brain, mind strove, he understood that he could do something more. Oleg became a real artist, a real “Ivanushka”. It seems to me that he did everything he had to do in life. Olezhka is great, he saved the team too - I don’t know who There could still be 15 years with the crazy me and Kirill (Andreev), he himself became an Artist with a capital “A,” said Grigoriev-Appolonov. He emphasized that any Russian-speaking person can easily recognize his voice.

A current member of the group read out messages from those who wanted to personally say goodbye to the artist, but were unable to fly from other Russian cities due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Man of magical charm

Until the last minutes of his life, Oleg Yakovlev was with his beloved, Alexandra Kutsevol, who always supported him in everything. She accompanied the artist on endless tours and helped with his solo project. She spoke tenderly about the departed in a trembling voice in which incredible bitterness was heard.

"Oleg was always very modest, he always hid and ran away on his birthday. He seemed to think that this was unnecessary, he was such a simple person, he could find a common language with anyone and charm anyone. This thunderstorm yesterday... He, apparently, did not wanted big celebrations and farewells. Oleg had crazy magic, wherever he found himself, he made everyone fall in love with him. He had charm, we will remember him radiant and joyful. He always helped everyone, never refused anyone. He had huge heart. Sleep, Olezhenka, sleep peacefully, please, I love you very much,” said Kutsevol.

The producer of the group "Ivanushki International" Igor Matvienko was also present at the funeral ceremony. He noted both Yakovlev’s work in the team and his solo project.
“Oleg lived a short, but stormy, very fast-paced life. He started with the theater, then he had work in the group “Ivanushki”. I consider the culmination of his work to be a solo project. Of course, it’s easier to live and work in a team, you have a shoulder to support , and it’s extremely difficult for one. But he did it. Oleg was very happy and proud that he was able to realize himself as an author. We are eternally grateful to Oleg for the years that he spent with us," Matvienko shared.

Oleg Yakovlev died in one of the Moscow hospitals after a serious illness, the artist’s common-law wife Alexandra Kutsevol previously told RIA Novosti. At the end of June, the singer was hospitalized in serious condition with double pneumonia. The widow clarified that Yakovlev will be cremated.

Last interview with Oleg Yakovlev

Oleg Yakovlev became the soloist of the group “Ivanushki International” in March 1998 after Igor Sorin left the group. In the fall of the same year, Sorin, who had worked with Ivanushki since the founding of the group in 1995, died tragically.

The hit “Poplar Down” was the first song that Yakovlev performed together with Kirill Andreev and Andrei Grigoriev-Appolonov. Then he performed the songs “Bullfinches”, “Golden Clouds”, “Beznadega dotka ru”. In 2013, Yakovlev left the team - also for the sake of a solo career.

There, far away, on the golden clouds, Oleg is somewhere... We remember you!

Yakovlev’s ashes remained unburied because Kutsevol could not obtain the appropriate permission.

Oleg Yakovlev died at the age of 47 from double pneumonia. Earlier, Channel Five published a commentary by singer Shura about the deceased:

Yakovlev Oleg Zhamsarayevich - Wikipedia. Fresh material as of 04/10/2018

“We have been dealing with the issue of Oleg’s burial at the Vagankovskoye cemetery for a month now. The cemetery is closed; permission from the Moscow government is required for this. A place in the columbarium can be purchased, this is not a problem. But we need a small area to erect the monument. Fans want to come to Oleg, people constantly write and ask where they can come,” says the singer’s widow.

The artist was taken on his final journey to the Troyekurovskoye cemetery. It was here that the singer’s body was cremated earlier.

The Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber (OP) of the Russian Federation for the support of family, children and motherhood, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Diana Gurtskaya appealed to the Moscow authorities with a request to bury the ashes of the ex-soloist of the group “Ivanushki International” Oleg Yakovlev at the Vagankovskoye cemetery of the capital, so that they could not honor the memory of the artist only family and friends, but also fans of his talent. Gurtskaya and Senator Vitaly Bogdanov sent a corresponding appeal to the head of the Moscow Department of Trade and Services, Alexei Nemeryuk.

As Yakovlev’s widow Alexandra said, 20 people came to his funeral - only close friends and relatives, among whom was the artist’s producer Igor Matvienko, writes StarHit.

Earlier, on July 31, the performer’s common-law wife Alexandra Kutsevol explained the reason for the delay in the funeral. She said that she wants to erect a monument to Yakovlev at the closed Vagankovskoye cemetery, which requires permission from the Moscow government.

Earlier it was reported that Yakovlev would find his final resting place at the Vagankovskoye cemetery. But, apparently, at some point it was decided to choose another churchyard.

Oleg Yakovlev, cremated on July 1 of this year, will finally be buried in one of the capital’s cemeteries. The singer’s final resting place will be the Troekuroskoe cemetery, where the musician’s farewell took place more than a month ago. The artist's funeral will take place on Monday at 11 am. This information was confirmed by the husband of singer Diana Gurtskaya, famous lawyer Pyotr Kucherenko.

“There is a week left until 40 days, and this must be done before this deadline. Now we are waiting for a response from the authorities and hope that they will help us. The production center of Igor Matvienko, people’s and honored artists submitted petitions,” she added.

He lived in an unofficial marriage with Alexandra Kutsevol. There is a niece Tatyana from her older sister Svetlana (her sister died in 2010), two grandchildren nephews: Mark Yakovlev and Garik Yakovlev (Mark is the son of Igor Malikov, Tatyana’s common-law husband). There is an illegitimate son (age unknown), lives in St. Petersburg.

On the 40th day after the death of Oleg Yakovlev, his ashes were interred at the Troekurovsky cemetery, 20 people were present. It’s interesting that there were no friends of the artist or his former colleagues in the group “Ivanushki”. The team is on tour in Gorno-Altaisk, the guys decided not to return to the capital for the sake of the funeral.

ON THIS TOPIC

The exact date and place of the funeral events were not announced until Sunday, so only the closest people who were in Moscow on August 7 were able to see off the musician on his final journey. Among them was Igor Matvienko, who created “Ivanushek”. Even after the artist left for solo swimming, Yakovlev’s work record remained in his production center.

Until the very end, the singer’s common-law wife hoped to obtain permission to bury the urn with ashes at the Vagankovskoye cemetery. “There were hopes to install a monument, which would require one square meter of area. We waited for a response from the administration of the necropolis until Friday, August 4. As a result, the burial was forced to be organized in another capital cemetery - Troekurovsky,” KP quotes Alexandra Kutsevol.

During the funeral, Oleg Yakovlev's song "Don't Cry" was played. He recorded this composition shortly before his death, and Kutsevol prepared a release in the 40 days since the death of his beloved.

She was the last to leave the hall, where the musician was seen off on his last journey

On Saturday, show business said goodbye to the ex-soloist of the group “Ivanushki-International” Oleg Yakovlev.

On the day when news of the artist’s death became known, many of his stage colleagues rushed to write touching condolences on social networks. Only a few considered it appropriate to see off the musician on his final journey.

And I immediately remembered the words of TV presenter Andrei Malakhov: “Oleg was out of the loop. And the last time he invited me to the presentation of his video, I didn’t go. That evening I was tired after filming, and I just didn’t feel like it. Although if one of the stars of the first magnitude invited me to their place, then, despite the fatigue, I would have to stop by.”

Probably, if they had buried a “out of the box” star on Saturday, then the elite would have gathered in full force to say goodbye.

The place and time of farewell to the ex-soloist of “Ivanushki” was announced in advance. 12.00, Troekurovskoe cemetery, necropolis house. People began to arrive at the appointed hour. The parking lot was filled with Mercedes, Lexuses, and BMWs. Ladies in stiletto heels and short skirts with curls in place, and men in strict black suits emerged from foreign cars. Secular mourning in all its glory.

The first of the stars to arrive was the ex-soloist of the group “Brilliant” Ksenia Novikova. I looked around. I was perplexed. I couldn’t find mine.

While waiting for my colleagues, I agreed to talk to reporters.

Olezhek was a kind, bright man,” the singer began. – The last time we saw him was three months ago, at a presentation. True, they practically did not communicate. We exchanged a few words and parted ways. I know that he worked non-stop, that’s what they say. On the eve of his death, I called his common-law wife. We understood that he didn’t have much time left, but we drove these thoughts away from ourselves. Journalists informed me that he was gone. To be honest, I haven’t communicated closely with him for the last 10 years. Everyone has their own life. I have a family, children, I don’t often go to social parties.

The journalists turned off their cameras.

At this time, the lead singer of “Ivanushki” Andrei Grigoriev-Appolonov arrived in a company of girls and men. Security immediately lined up in front of the artist. The musician held a lush bouquet of peonies in his hands. He did not react to journalists.

Soon Grigoriev-Appolonov and his support group moved towards the farewell hall. By this time, about fifty Yakovlev fans had gathered on the steps of the necropolis: young people, disabled people, women well over forty. Mostly the audience was older. Most are in sports shorts, some are in a T-shirt with a portrait of Yakovlev, and withered chrysanthemums in their hands. Not everyone was grieving. Only a few cried. The sensations were strange. It seemed that the people had gathered to be curious and stare at the stars rather than say goodbye to the musician.

Yakovlev’s stage colleagues were allowed into the farewell hall. There were few of them - the soloists of “Ivanushki” Andrei Grigoriev Appolonov, Kirill Andreev with his wife and son, the group’s producer Igor Matvienko, singer Katya Lel, TV presenter Alexander Oleinikov.

Anna Semenovich appeared at the end.

Stars should probably be allowed in through the VIP entrance? Or should I go along with everyone? - the singer glanced towards the crowded fans.

Farewell to Oleg Yakovlev took place behind closed doors. Only friends and close acquaintances of the deceased were allowed through.

We are relatives, can we come in? – an elderly woman and a man begged the guards.

The security guard invited the person responsible for the event. The girl, who did not go into detail about who these relatives were to Yakovlev, gave the command to “let through.” She apologized to the new arrivals as best she could: “We have no idea who the relatives are here. They didn’t notify us in advance.”

Meanwhile, indignation grew among Yakovlev’s fans: “What other relatives? Olezhek has no one left.”

Oleg and I talked a lot,” says one of the fans. “I know for sure, his sister died of cancer a long time ago, and his mother passed away too. He never knew his father at all. And his two nieces live in Altai, they could not fly. It didn't work out for them. So, consider that Yakovlev has no blood relatives. Who are these people?

In the crowd of fans there was talk about who saw Yakovlev last time and how they remembered him.

I recently ran into him after another event on the street. He had a huge layer of makeup on, you couldn’t see his face. As if he was masking the disease. But even through the makeup it was noticeable that something was wrong with him,” sighed a plump woman of about 40. “But my friend couldn’t come here.” When she heard about Olezhek’s death, she still can’t come to her senses. I'm hysterical for the third day. Why are they not letting us inside to the coffin?

Did you see how Red looked at me? – a young girl chirped. - Of course, he recognized me. I haven't missed a single concert. I would ask him one question: “Why did you all abandon Yakovlev?” I know that Oleg did not get out of bed for almost ten days. Something happened to his back and he could no longer walk. They say his kidneys were already failing.

Discontent among fans grew.

“At 12.00 everything will begin for you,” the guard said. - Have respect. Relatives do not go to see strangers in the hall.

Two men from the fan crowd leaned against the glass, trying to see what was happening in the farewell hall.

The redhead approached the coffin. Costs. Says something. “Can’t hear,” one broadcast. - Kirill is standing there. Nobody seems to be crying. Everything is quiet.

Exactly at the appointed time, the guard gave the command: “We pass quickly. No one lingers at the coffin. We do not approach the friends of the deceased. They quickly went in, put down the flowers and left. Videos and photos are strictly prohibited. Please don’t be onlookers.”

Fans were allowed in 15 at a time. Everyone, as if on command, laid flowers in unison, touched the coffin and quickly ran out into the street. A dozen guards kept order.

To the left of the coffin, Yakovlev’s relatives and friends were sitting and standing. The common-law wife is wearing huge dark glasses, a cap pulled down over her eyes, a jacket with a hood, and a blanket thrown over top. It was stuffy in the hall. But the girl was shaking. Perhaps she was the only one of all who realized the severity of the loss.

After the farewell ceremony, the doors to the funeral hall were locked again.

The funeral service will begin now,” the guard informed. “It’s strange why we were herded here in such numbers.” For example, I was urgently called here from the neighboring Kuntsevo cemetery. They announced: “There will be a lot of people, we need to keep order.” We arrived, and there was no one here. Who to protect?

The funeral service lasted about 40 minutes. Then the show business representatives and their escort went out into the street. Smoke break. Matveenko and Grigoriev-Appolonov stayed together. They were talking about something. Kirill stood at a distance with his family and friends. From the outside it might seem that the people had just gathered to chat. I didn’t notice any tears or hysterics. Only black clothes showed mourning.

Soon everyone began to kiss, encourage each other, smile and disperse. “See you,” “Well, see you next week.” Otherwise, I won’t be able to get out in the next few days,” “I was glad to meet you,” “I ran, otherwise I was delayed quite a bit,” were heard from all sides.

Life went on.

“We asked Oleg’s relatives to refuse cremation”

Journalists stubbornly waited for comments from former colleagues of Oleg Yakovlev from Ivanushki.

Guys, sorry, there will be no comments today,” Andrei Grigoriev-Appolonov ran past.

Kirill walked past without even stopping. On my own behalf, I delegated my husband Lola to the media representatives.

- How often have the guys from “Ivanushki” communicated with Yakovlev lately?

Very rarely. But if we crossed paths at events, we were happy to meet,” Lola began. – I know that Oleg missed the guys, that time, the tours, the trains, the parties. And every time we were nostalgic, I saw tears in his eyes. But it was too late to return everything. At first, when Oleg just left the group, he was happy to pursue a solo career. I thought he would succeed...

- Is it true that his wife Alexandra provoked him to leave the group?

Nobody provoked him. There just came a point when he got tired of performing the same songs. Can you imagine going on stage for 20 years with the same hits? To be honest, “Ivanushki” doesn’t have enough songs. Oleg himself wrote poetry and music, and decided to promote his work himself. Sasha then told him: “I will support any decision you make.” Relations at that time between Oleg and the guys were tense. Anything happened. There was a rift. And only Sasha supported Oleg.

- Why did they decide to cremate the artist?

This was Oleg’s own wish. He talked about it. No, not recently, but in general I mentioned something. Sasha decided to fulfill his request. Although we tried to persuade her to bury Oleg in a Christian manner and preserve his body. My mother recently died, I buried my best friend and I understand how important it is to come to the grave. But Oleg’s relatives decided otherwise.

-How close. What if he doesn't have anyone?

I mean Sasha. Oleg has no close relatives.

- Where is Alexandra now, is she not visible among those gathered?

She is the last to say goodbye to Oleg. I decided to stay alone.

Was there really love between them? Or is there only fan devotion on Sasha’s part, and Oleg took it for granted?

Sasha really loved him. She gave all of herself to him, it was sacrificial love. Oleg did not have a more devoted person than her. She was with him both in sorrow and in joy. When they first met, she was a fan of Oleg. She told me: “Even if nothing works out with us, I will always be by his side.” I was laughing. At first she was simply by his side, solving all his questions, helping. And only a few years ago they began to live together.

- Did he love her?

But who will understand the artist. But the fact that she loved him many times more is obvious. She literally served him. Books are written about such devotion.

- What is the exact diagnosis given to Yakovlev?

This has already been discussed a lot. I don't want to repeat myself again. The diagnosis was terrible. He had one terrible disease superimposed on another, then a third.

- Which one?

Let's just say he had a very serious, serious illness. I don't want to voice it. You need to understand what kind of life Oleg led. I couldn't stop in time. When he was in pain, he drowned out the pain with different things. It is known that all artists become dependent. Some from alcohol, others from something else. We drank a lot at Ivanushki, strong and often. Every evening we sat down and drank, another glass and away we go. My husband told me every time: “I’m not an alcoholic.” To which I replied: “You are not an alcoholic, but you drink every day.” It was very difficult for them to stop. Kirill was stopped by craniotomy; he received the injury after another drinking session; he underwent surgery in 2001. If not for the injury, it is unknown whether he would be alive now. This infection of alcohol has sprouted tightly in the group. And only Sasha pulled Oleg out of his drinking bouts and was with him in those difficult days. She accepted anyone.

- How does she feel now?

She feels very bad. But so far she has not fully realized what happened. She is in a stupor. She will feel worse in two days.

- There were rumors that she tried to commit suicide?

No that's not true. We won't allow this. We'll be next to her. Although she said: “I don’t want to live if he’s not around.” She had these conversations constantly.

- Did you know that Yakovlev has serious health problems?

He hid his problems from everyone. Always laughed in public. Only his sad eyes gave him away. But his eyes were always sad. Perhaps this comes from childhood. Also, he was very afraid to be alone. I tried to maintain friendly relations with everyone. He congratulated us on all the holidays and never forgot to give us gifts. Even in the old days, on tour, when we were flying out of the airport, he would run into a perfume store to buy a bottle of perfume for everyone.

- When was the last time you saw him?

I don't remember exactly. I think it was Kirill’s birthday. He didn't say anything about illness. Yes, he never complained at all. He always pretended that everything was fine.

- Did he have enough money for treatment?

Believe me, even if he had nothing to eat, he would not borrow a penny from anyone. Never asked for money. I tried to cope on my own. But this time, apparently, there was not enough strength.

“Yakovlev drank no less than Ryzhiy”

On the same day, we talked with music observer Vladimir Polupanov, who on the day of Yakovlev’s death left a comment on the social network: “Oleg has a diagnosis that is not spoken about out loud.”

For all his sociability, Oleg always seemed to elude communication,” Polupanov began. “I could call, congratulate you on the holiday and say: “Long time no see, Volodechka.” But at the same time he never offered specific dates and meeting places. I attended the presentations of his videos twice. And both times, by the way, the guys from “Ivanushki” were present there.

Is it true that after leaving the group, Yakovlev remained out of work? They stopped inviting him to events and began to forget him?

He was never the frontman of the group, so he had never been invited anywhere before. And when he went on a solo voyage, I think that’s when they began to forget him a little. But his wife reminded him of him every time.

-Have you heard about his long, protracted illness, which people talk about all around?

I have not heard about the disease. But I often saw Oleg a little tipsy, but very positive. Outwardly he was always skinny.

- It’s a shame he left the group, don’t you think?

Sasha had a hand in his departure, telling him: “You are cool and deserve more.” It seems to me that Oleg himself was not particularly worried that he left the group. I should have left already. After all, he was already 43 years old. The age for a boy band is completely inappropriate. Neither in private conversations nor in interviews did he say that he regrets. On the contrary, he boasted about his successes and new songs that he recorded in Ukraine with Ukrainian authors.

- Why didn’t Yakovlev and Alexandra get married?

Think. She loved him, and he enjoyed this love. But he didn't love it. In one of his last interviews, he said: “Sasha is promoting me. He walks around the house in slippers and doesn’t cook at all. Because he doesn’t know how.” A loving man would say this about his woman. Although, who knows. Someone else's soul in the dark. Maybe it was a special type of love.

- Did Yakovlev understand that he didn’t have much time left? Was he talking about death?

Oleg never spoke about death. But there was a sense of doom in his gaze. Or maybe it was a hangover.

- Did he talk about his loved ones?

He told me, but he didn’t have close relationships even with his family. For example, once we were with “Ivanushki” on tour in Irkutsk. His sister lived there. Yakovlev immediately said: “I don’t need a hotel room, I’ll go spend the night with my sister.” As a result, I returned to the hotel at night. I asked for a number. But the hotel was small, the governor's hotel. There were 6-7 rooms. I gave him my number. He slept on the billiard table.

- He didn’t know his father?

He personally told me the story of his family. But he didn’t like to talk about it. I didn’t want to emphasize that I was born from an accidental affair with a mother who had gone on a spree with an 18-year-old soldier. But he never spoke badly about his mother. He is survived by nephews - two sisters.

- Did he use drugs?

I've never heard of drugs. He drank no more than Andrei Grigoriev-Apollonov. In 1998 I went on tour with Ivanushki. Kirill Andreev was then recovering from a head injury, which he received during a stormy celebration of his birthday. And his wife Lola went on tour with them. He was in a bind. This was our first meeting. Andrey immediately suggested: “Well then. Let's f...” . He took out a bottle of vodka, and the three of us drank it at 8 am at Domodedovo airport. And then there was a lot more vodka. For some reason, in those days they only drank vodka. But with age, it seemed to me, everyone began to drink much less. Yakovlev, while drinking, behaved appropriately. He fell asleep quietly in front of me.

- Ivanushki is a friendly team?

Relationships in the group have always been difficult. It cannot be said that Kirill and Andrei were friends with Yakovlev. No. They were bandmates, but not friends. With all the consequences.

- They say that Yakovlev has been depressed for the last year?

He didn't look like a broken man. As it was, so it remains. Got a little wiser. I remember him fondly. He was a cozy person. Polite, caring, he asked more how I was doing rather than talking about his own. I didn’t take care of my health, that’s a fact.

- When was the last time you talked to him?

At the beginning of the year. They were alone with Sasha. They called and congratulated me on some holiday. They said that we should see each other. I am still indebted to Oleg. He never refused if it was necessary to speak at a corporate event, and did not demand immediate “payback.”

The widow of Oleg Yakovlev was supported by hand (in the center in a cap)

Yakovlev's wife Alexandra Kutsevol was the last to leave the farewell hall. No, she didn't come out. They carried her by the arms. She could no longer walk. The girl threw a blanket over her head and covered her face. Next they brought out a portrait of the late husband.

Neither connections nor the pleas of fans helped to “knock out” a place for the public’s favorite in the cemetery, where permission from the Moscow authorities is required for burial.

The problem was not even in acquiring a place in the columbarium - Yakovlev’s wife was counting on a small plot to erect a monument, because numerous grieving fans want to come to Oleg.

Grigoriev-Apollonov and Kirill Andreev did not see off Oleg Yakovlev on his last journey

On Monday, August 7, the ex-soloist of “Ivanushki International” passed away exactly 40 days from the moment of his death after complications due to pneumonia. Twenty colleagues and comrades came to see off their friend and colleague on their last journey to the Troyekurovskoye cemetery. Most likely, the artist’s relatives did not want a public funeral ceremony, so the people closest to Yakovlev during his lifetime were present. But why the singer’s ex-colleagues Andrei Grigoriev-Apollonov and Kirill Andreev were not at the funeral is a big question. Most likely, they were not in the city that day.

But among those seeing off the musician on his last journey was the main person in Oleg’s creative life, who helped Yakovlev become a star, for which Oleg never tired of thanking him. Surely, you already guessed that this is producer Igor Matvienko. Even after Yakovlev left the group, his work record was in Matvienko’s production center. “You don’t have to worry, everything is fine with my pension,” Oleg said in one of his last interviews. But, alas, Yakovlev was not destined to live to a happy old age...

The burial of the white urn with Yakovlev’s ashes took place, according to tradition, to applause. The grave was decorated with white chrysanthemums and fir branches.

The most touching moment of the ceremony was Oleg Yakovlev’s song “Don’t Cry,” which was played at this mournful moment - he left it almost finished... In 40 days, his wife and Igor Matvienko prepared a posthumous release of the composition. Hearing the voice of the artist who had just been interred, people could not hold back their tears...

Why were they buried so late?

Many people wonder why the famous performer was buried after 40 days? Oleg Yakovlev’s wife, Alexandra Kutsevol, tried to “knock out” one square meter of space from the Moscow authorities for erecting a monument, but they waited until Friday, August 4, for a response from the necropolis administration. As a result, the burial was moved to the Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
