But after the words of the coach that she would not succeed, she pulled herself together and made her dream of an Olympic gold medal come true. After the victory, there was a difficult divorce from her first husband, Alexander Zhulin. I am grateful to Sasha’s father for always taking my side in raising my daughter, and for us to have such a wonderful daughter. “I’m proud of her,” Navka admits.

2003 brought success to the Navka-Kostomarov couple - they became Russian champions. In the same year, Tatyana and Roman became bronze medalists at the European Championships in Sweden. And then in Tatyana Navka’s career there were only victories. Since 2004, Navka and Kostomarov have become gold medalists at Russian, European and world championships.

Tatyana Navka has become one of the main figure skating stars on Russian television. From 2006 to 2016, Navka participated in ice shows every year, missing the season only once.
