Even if the driver deviates from the specified path, it will still remain the same, still displayed on the map. How can you build a new route in Yandex.Navigator? In fact, you just need to re-use the search, specifying the name of the endpoint in it. Your location is determined automatically.
You can set the route in another way - by sound command. However, in this case, you need to speak clearly and distinctly, otherwise the application will not be able to recognize the command. It is better to turn off voice prompts immediately, since the program sometimes confuses “right” and “left”.

How to enable the feature
To activate the application without connecting to the Internet, you need to:
1. Go to the Yandex.Navigator application installed on the device you are using (smartphone or tablet).

Secondly, even with the mobile Internet running, maps will load much faster, and it doesn’t matter whether you just want to view them or set a route. This does not waste traffic.
Third, the advantage of the updated version of Yandex.Navigator, which allows you to use the application offline, is a vector map with a better appearance and clearer image. Its volume is smaller than a raster one, which means it will require less space in the phone. Moreover, all buildings in the updated version are three-dimensional.
Unfortunately, the matter is not limited to advantages alone, and the disadvantages of the updated version of Yandex.Navigator are also noticeable. The most significant of them include the impossibility of building a route without an Internet connection. However, if you have planned a route in advance while the Internet is active, it will be saved on the map (the presence of a GPS module will allow you to see your movement on the map). Also, do not forget that if you turn off the given route, a new one will not be laid.
In any case, as on devices with the Android operating system, using Yandex Navigator on an iPhone is a pleasure, because traveling with such an “assistant” is much more enjoyable.

Build a route in Yandex.Navigator completely hands-free. To enable voice control of the application, say “Listen, Yandex!” When the “Speak!” prompt appears, say the desired command. To confirm the constructed route, simply tell the Navigator “Let's go.” If you saw an accident on the road and want to warn your fellow travelers about it, just tell the navigator “Listen, Yandex! -> accident in the right lane" and it will automatically add a mark to the traffic map.
Parking

Save time! In order not to distract the driver from the road every minute, Yandex.Navigator suggests changing the route only if the estimated time savings is more than 5 minutes. Especially for those who don’t want to waste a minute, there is a “Browse” button in the Navigator’s quick access panel. With its help, the driver can check at any moment whether there is a route 2-3 minutes faster than the current one.
My trips
Keep statistics! For those who write down every detail of the biography of their car or simply want to remember which route they quickly took to get to their best friend’s dacha last summer, there is a “My Trips” section in the Navigator settings. You can find out details about each trip: the exact route, travel time and average speed. Summary statistics are also available - by week and by month.
Entrances
Drive straight to the treasured doors! Recently, Yandex.Navigator learned to navigate to the house from the entrances. The company collects information about them through the People's Card. There are only a few of them for now, but you can add your own and your friends will easily find their way to you. To drive directly to the desired entrance, enter its number in the search bar after the main address, for example: st. Lesnaya, 5, p. 2.
Roadside assistance
Don't get confused if something goes wrong! Now you can call for roadside assistance without leaving the Navigator. You can submit a request in the application settings. You can, for example, call a tow truck who will deliver the car to the desired address, or a mechanic who will change a tire, start the car, or even bring a can of gasoline. Within 15 minutes, the application will send offers from several services that are ready to accept your order. They are selected based on rating, price and distance from the car. All you have to do is choose a service and wait for specialists.
Intermediate waypoint
Change your route whenever you want! If on the way to your destination you remember that you need to stop, for example, at a pharmacy or you just want to drive along Vozdvizhenka and admire Morozov’s mansion, you can ask the Navigator to rebuild the route through the desired point. To do this, go to the “Browse” section, find the blue “plus” icon on the map and drag it to the intermediate point that you need to capture along the way.
Background mode
Don't get lost if you get distracted (or better yet, don't get distracted!). The navigator, it turns out, can work in the background. Oksana, Dima and other favorite characters will not abandon you, even if you minimize the application to check your mail or take an important call: the application will continue to guide you along the route and give voice prompts.

Speed warnings
Configure speeding notifications in a way that suits you personally! In the application settings, you can set an overspeed threshold (from 1 to 60 km/h), after which the Navigator will warn about cameras. For example, if you set the permissible excess to “19” and drive on a road with a limit of 60 km/h, the application will respond to cameras only after the “79” mark on the speedometer.

If you are worried that you will run out of internet during your trip, you can download maps of the area in advance. Of course, to build a route you will need access to the Internet. But, as Yandex told us in confidence, the company is already preparing completely offline routing.

Search functions
The program has an easy search for the desired object. There is no fixed list from which you need to select the required item. It is enough to enter a geographical name, real address or organization in the search bar, and the system will immediately determine its location.
A complex query in the form of a street intersection or iconic place has not yet been entered. Instead, there are key categories divided into two dozen topics from gas stations, bars and car washes to banks and even notaries. The positions are hidden in the settings under various translucent icons. If you click on one of them, the nearest socially significant points will be displayed on the map. They are easier to navigate and visually plot a route.
The place you like can easily be added to “Favorites”. Templates with icons assigned to them are also formed from these items.
Routing in the service
When choosing the most convenient path, the user is given two options to choose from: the shortest and the fastest. The parameters of both routes (mileage and time) are indicated at the top of the display. You can also see the snakes of both paths on the map.
When the user deviates from the plotted course while moving, the calculated path will not be rebuilt independently. The updated path will be laid out for the user only after his new request with the introduction of updated parameters.
There are some problems with voice prompts. You may find that the correct course on the map is indicated to the left, but a voice suggests turning to the right. Not always up-to-date regional maps can plot a route along a road that does not exist in reality or has changed markings, or perhaps has become one-way.
The driver should not completely rely on the navigator programs; it is necessary to assess the traffic situation independently based on real circumstances.

The Yandex company maintains a center for analyzing traffic jams. It compiles data from various traffic participants and related sources, which include outdoor surveillance cameras, online services, etc.
The level of reliability of the results obtained is quite high. Also, through the traffic jam service, information is received about some accidents on the road, which can be commented on by participants or eyewitnesses of the events. For St. Petersburg, information about raised bridges is relevant. Other cities can report on road repairs or other situations on the highway. Users can also refute some messages left by their colleagues about current events, replacing the data with more relevant ones.
The degree of road congestion is graded on its own scale from 1 to 10 points. It is advisable to bypass paths with maximum indicators of 9 or 10 points using underground transport or choosing other access methods.
In the settings there is a function to automatically switch to night mode and select one of the built-in voices (female or male). The user can view the memory used by the program to cache downloaded sections of the map. The cache can be cleared at any time.

The popular domestic navigator contains detailed details of houses, buildings and buildings that are located in most large and medium-sized Russian cities. In some localities, the so-called “People’s Maps”, generated by private users without the involvement of any professional cartographers, will be relevant.
For individual sections, not only schematic signs are available, but also real photos from satellites. Although this format increases the “gluttonous” Internet traffic and takes a long time to load on a weak network, with high-speed Internet the owner of a smartphone or tablet becomes able to experience greater realism.
